Not only does it have a waxy/oily rust inhibitor coating, that paper is special. It’s “VCI paper,” vapor corrosion inhibitor. It’s impregnated kraft paper. It will change your life how you store things long term.

I imagine assembly lube is used in assembly like any other engine? Or is there something special going on here since it’s a diesel, I’ve never worked on one in a semi. (Just small kubota type tractors or skid steers)
