Most people will know this Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber song from Evita that first topped the charts with Julie Covington in 1976. Two years later the Shadows reached no 5 with their instrumental version.

Geeks, Nerds and Anoraks corner.

Well, despite the hilarity, interminable cock-ups and frequent feline interference from a little cat that has recently adopted us Maurice's visit also resulted in a good recording of this one.
It's exactly the same gear as used for the Deer Hunter, Maurice's trusty Levin with a little added reverb, my Squier Classic 50s Strat, the same echo patch 38, the same stereo echoes from the Tascam DP24 and the Behringer B1 mic. The only difference is that I used the middle pickup instead of bridge and no treble was dialled out.
I really recommend listening with headphones, the difference to the soundscape that the stereo echoes make is quite something and I am going to use them more and more!

Once again the backing track was from Dave Robinson's "Do you Wanna Be Hank and Bruce?" series .
