This show had some pretty interesting ideas, alot of the t&a is pretty awkward rather than sexy, but yeah the script and dialogue are extremely amateurish, like Bakshi's dialogue scenes in other movies of his felt loose and improvised at times, but narrative driven projects have never been his strong suit. This show was a big wet blank and big blue balls, i don't think it was the creators fault, i just think HBO gave them very little budget and a lack of creative control. Alot of this show is just awkward, especially the "sexy" parts, and the pacing is just weird (it feels heavily edited or heavily compromised). But it's still an interesting mix Blade Runner noir, the horniness of anime, and the combination of 50s asthetic with 80's sci-fi. its definitely ambitious, it just feels weird, truncated, and couldn't figure out if it wanted be Blade Runner or Forbidden Science
