The title of "The Black Silence" was given to Angelica for her role in silencing the pianist. Hana knew it was Angelica because of the noise-cancelling effects of the gloves.

But we know it was actually Roland who killed the Pianist. The thing is, the Black Silence gloves are a direct counter to the pianist's abilities. So how come Angelica got transmogrified but Roland remained intact?

Angelica didnt have her gloves with her. It was with Roland. More like something to keep him safe in his mission to save Olivier. It wasnt like Angelica would need those anyway as she comments that district 9 is relatively peaceful.
