Just what i was looking for. I cannot wait to give this recipe a go.
ОтветитьYay I can't wait to make this. Pretty sure you can find 92° coconut oil at Walmart in the cooking section. I believe 16 oz is just under $15 in my area. I don't mind touching my own armpits so I'm going to pour mine into a pot and use 76°. You are such a wonderful inspiration to many of us.
ОтветитьThank you Ellen. They look lovely. 😊
Ответитьwhat are the measurements for the bulk deodorant?
Ответитьthank you for sharing this video, very easy to understand and follow! Have you tried adding Magnesium powder for extra odor control? I am gonna experiment with adding a TB or so, see if it helps. We used to use Native deodorant which has Mag hydroxide in it.
ОтветитьHey my love! Would it be okay to sub the beeswx with candelila wax?
ОтветитьWhat is its shelf life? How much gram arrow root n baking powder
Ответитьانا من السعودية ❤ تشرفت بك
ОтветитьI’m glad to see it’s measured in weight, most online recipes use tablespoons instead of weight. Good recipe. Thanks for sharing with everyone.
ОтветитьDo you let it naturally or refrigerate?
ОтветитьThank you for stating the coconut alternative for those of us who are allergic. Not too many people do that.
ОтветитьI've been allergic to every deodorant I've ever bought, so I'm excited to try this!
ОтветитьI'm def gonna try this. Paying $13 for deodorant has gotten old.
ОтветитьPlease list the ingredients
ОтветитьThank you for sharing Ellen! Appreciate you!
ОтветитьMine came out hard and not conditioning. Can someone please help me on what went wrong???
ОтветитьThank you ❤
ОтветитьI made my deodorant a couple of days ago and now I noticed that it has some dark red colour in it i made it with baking soda would you know why the colour has changed 😢 I am very confused.
Thank you 😊
How must soda and arrowroot?
ОтветитьI made it, and it is great! Thank you, Ellen! 😘
ОтветитьI tried the baking soda deodorant and it turned grainy. Do you know why? Is your deodorant grainy?
ОтветитьHow can I buy your deodorant??
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your recipe & your knowledge...I appreciate it. I think its great that you showed us all an alternative to a double boiler..... I'm all about options! Lol. Some people are just starting out trying to make things at home & don't want to buy anything new for it... unless they have to.
Ответитьare you crisfix's mom?
ОтветитьNeat recipes! Do you have a video on your stainless counter top?
ОтветитьHow long does stuff like this last on the shelf?
Can this be made into an anti-perspirant? How?
Thanks for the recipe...
ОтветитьThank you so much Ellen for your unconditional help, I have a question, Can these go straight to the fridge or is it better to cook them off on a rack? Thank you again 😊
ОтветитьI just read that tea tree oil actually kills the germs in your armpits so I'm going to try that as well as another essential oil so it's not just tea tree. And see how that works
ОтветитьThank you ❤
ОтветитьI love this❤
ОтветитьThank you for the video
ОтветитьI tried making your recipe with slight modification of 7grams baking soda & 7 grams colloidal oatmeal. It turned out great except it was draggy when applying on armpit/skin or was pulling skin a bit when applying.
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your recipe! I made deodorant paste for my family before and it worked really well. I want try making this next when I get back into making stuff from scratch.
ОтветитьQuestion: What kind of perishable ingredient can you put inside of homemade deodorant? Other than putting it inside the fridge, it stays soild, the deodorant melts do to the temperature outsidethe fridge(it's made with coconut oil)
Ответитьhow long will this product can expire ??
ОтветитьThis is my second batch of deodorants. I’ve saved my husband’s finished deodorant dispensers and I’ve given a friend a travel size and a large size. She said it was one of the best birthday presents she ever got because it was so personal. I made my own labels with my label maker and she loved her name was on the label. She also enjoyed the fragrance. Thanks so much for sharing this. I don’t plan on ever buying deodorant again.
ОтветитьHi Ellen! How much candelilla should I use instead of 14g of beeswax? Thank you for your amazing videos!
ОтветитьYou can also try cosmetic grade baking soda- the grains are smaller so it may irritate your skin less.
ОтветитьThank you so much for sharing your recipe.
ОтветитьI'm allergic to coconut, would you have a suggestion for another ingredient to use in its place?
Thank you❤
Love all you recipes!
ОтветитьI have made those deodorants, one with shea butter, let me give you a secret, they dont work for me, I still get smelly, but i have found out an ingredient that works.
ОтветитьThank you so much
ОтветитьNow this comment is for those of us who actually do read the comments. Thank you for taking the time. I have learned so much from people like you who leave tips and suggestions. So here’s my two cents…. I have a formula that is (almost) exactly like Ellen’s. I made this deodorant a month ago, so I have had time to decide if it is worth making again. The answer, Yes! Yes it is!!
Three things to note here. I had used an aluminum free deodorant for years that was free of parabens, dyes & talc and I thought I was using a natural deodorant. I was not. Three or four days after using this all natural deodorant, my armpits broke out. I went thru a detox period that lasted almost a week. (This was a good thing, so I continued). Read your labels and research the ingredients. I just did that with my old store bought stuff and 😵
Baking soda is Sodium Bicarbonate. It does not contain aluminum. Do not let the advertisers trick you into paying more for a product that states it is aluminum free.
If cornstarch is all you have on hand, then use that. But after watching Ellen’s demonstration, (Thank you for that Ellen! I really appreciated seeing how arrowroot made such a difference.) I would recommend using the arrowroot powder. That will be my choice moving forward.
Lastly, I will say that I would put this formula up against Lume. Yes, I can go several days without reapplying. It also works as well as any antiperspirant I have used. (I did make mine with baking soda.) I also used an organic coconut oil with the 76° melting point that works great. My deodorant did have a subtle coconut scent when applying it, but that dissipates later. In fact, there is no scent at all. And by no scent, I mean no odors at all!
To say I am impressed with this formula would be an understatement. I will no longer pay $8 for an “Aluminum Free” deodorant nor will I pay $30 for a Natural deodorant. This formulation works great for pennie’s on the dollar.
Thank you for another great video, thank you for sharing! I was wondering since the 92 degree coconut oil creates a harder deodorant do you think it will also be good for solid lotion bars, balms and other products that “sweat”?
ОтветитьThank you....I was wanting to know if it stains the clothes....as where I live its humid..
ОтветитьWell, i think the Holy Spirit wants me to learn from you 😊
You came on straight after i watched you making the conditioner bars haha 😄 ❤
How big are those containers? Are those travel size?
