I got morrowind when it came out on original xbox with super long loading times. Man, what a weird game to play as a 10 year old. Still come back to it for that nostalgia hit

I remember making all my Daggerfall characters female because you could take their clothes off. That's the kind of thing you have to do when your connect is a 2400 baud dial-up and pics take 15 mins to dl...also, back then...no thumbnails...yeah...I'm THAT old.

Morrowind was my first Elder Scrolls, and is still to this day in the top 3 when it comes to the 'best 1st playthrough experiences' that I would want to relive again. No AAA title had the same scale, the grandiose musical score and the sense of wonder like this game had at the time. Absolute Masterpiece until today!

Battlespire is notably absent

For many years I thought my first TES game was Oblivion but then a very old friend of mine said that I played “just a one singular time” TES Arena when we were both some early school age kids.

My first elder scrolls was Arena on a demo flopy disk in the 90s and in the demo you could not exit the first dungeon because it asked the player the price of some random armors.

I first played Oblivion when I was 2 years old, my parents had to help me get through the sewers because I was scared of the goblins haha.

I started with morrowind on my brothers laptop and just did speedmult console commands and ran around. Once I had my own Xbox I got oblivion, my first 360 game, then Skyrim when it came out. The two of them I have roughly a combined 7000 hours because I’ve owned and played them my whole life. Oblivion IS my childhood
