I was a subcontractor and the person I subcontracted for gave me three small medical clinics to clean. I cleaned those clinics for 2 years, mostly by myself before they canceled our contract after 2 years. They would often email my boss and ask us to do things like Windows and parking, lot cleanup, He would always simply just refuse instead of trying to figure out a way to charge so we could do those tasks.
They eventually fired us and hired a cheaper cleaning company that was willing to do all of those tasks for less.
If he could just bid them in the first place they likely would have gone with us.
But simply just telling the customer flat out No can result in the loss of the contract
