Amsterdam is just a rip off tourist trap in my opinion.. I did like whores working in southern Germany. They were beautiful Eastern European women at that time. The whore in northern Germany were ugly in my opinion with their price sheets. Like ordering a meal item by item from an ugly server. The whores in Barcelona were trash immigrants. What surprised me was the number of whores working the street. It was a far higher concentration but I only noticed them on one street. You could get a short term girl for less than 50 bucks and a bed for an hour. Southern German whorehouses were far nicer. Worth the money in my opinion. Shows bore me. Nowadays, you can watch everything on the internet. Enjoy your travels.

I went to Amsterdam for a mates Stag night about 35 years ago. I can't tell you any more, because we all swore an oath of secrecy about what happened that weekend. But, the Red Light area has changed.... I believe... It was really wild back then, and there were 'brown bars', where they legally sold you hash to have with your beer. I think it is all a bit tamer than it was. Like Pattaya, it had to 'clean up'. That said, if you are brave enough and see a lady you like in the window, you simply walk up, pay the price, and off you go.... if that is of interest. I would say for 'wild' nightlife, Amsterdam and Pattaya are a pretty close call for that sort of scene. The main difference is the beer in Amsterdam is very good but very strong. Enjoy.

If you go to van goh museum you should check out the rijks museum which is nearby as well as the Heineken factory museum and you get a few beers with admission. The beer tastes different and is sooo good when its fresh! I lived in Den Haag for 6 months and been to Amsterdam so many times! Miss that place and brings me so many memories!

My favourite European city by far. Love Amsterdam. I've been in Cassa Rosso and the women on stage are nowhere near as tasty as the ones in the windows. Some stunners there.

I was there about 15 years ago with my nephew who was in college at the time , this was before weed was legal everywhere but they were famous for their coffee shops ( I was probably the only person who ever travelled there at that time that didn’t partake ) .. but I was curious , do they still have those coffee shops where people go in and smoke ? … another thing I remember that was different was there were urinals right in the middle of the center where you would stand there and pee as everyone just walked by ( very strange )… also I remember getting scammed when we got to the airport and walked outside a young guy come asked if we needed a taxi to our hotel,… when we got there he says “ 90 euros “,.. I knew I messed up but I just payed it and when I got into the hotel I asked them what a taxi from the airport should cost and they told me about 15 euro ,.. lol ( chalk it up as experience I guess )

Used to go to Amsterdam quite often while in the Army and stationed in Germany...

We had two units there I had supervision of for food service and logistics in our command...

Towns called T'Harde and Steenwijk (sp?)...Quite nice, but small and quiet...

We often stayed over in Amsterdam for the ambiance (😉🤣😊) and noise...

Lots to do in the area...

The Netherlands is quite similar to Germany in regards to infrastructure...

Different vibe though...

Casa Rosso - It was fifty euros one time with 3 free drinks, they gave you 3 raffle tickets to claim the drinks, glasses of beer to not pints. Lots of things go up in that show😁😁 along with the prices.

Amsterdam is a great place to be in August---you can't go wrong on this trip unless you step in front of a fast-moving bicycle.
