Konichiwa! We just returned from a 13-day first time trip to Japan and I am so glad I found your channel in preparation for our trip!! Thank you for all your advice and tips! I can’t wait to go back and follow this new itinerary you suggest. 🙏
ОтветитьAwesome video. Thanks
ОтветитьThank you for featuring tohoku. Definitely my new found favorite region!!
ОтветитьThank you so much for video. I've been three times in Japan:
1. Golden Triangle with Hiroshima
2. Tokyo (travel South Korea + Japan)
3. Fukuoka-Kumamoto-Nagasaki
and I planned to go back this year to go North
So your video will help a lot
Thanks
I plan to visit but have yet to find any non biased war ww2 museums. Many in China South Korea Germany USA what I can see from online reviews.
ОтветитьDid the reverse golden route last April (Kyoto, Osaka, Himeji, Hiroshima, Shirakawa, Takayama, Fuji, Tokyo) and will be going by regions on my next trips starting with Kyushu hopefully by Autumn then Chugoku by Summer and so fort. Thanks for this idea on Tohoku since I was having a hard time planning for this particular region.
ОтветитьThanks for the suggestion. I haven't bought my plane ticket yet, but my overall plan for a year has been to explore the regions between Hokkaido and Tokyo, so it's good to know what there is to see in those areas. Are all the buses in those areas switched to using the Suica card, or did you have to pay cash in a number of them? What about taxis, if you accidentally miss the last bus, do they use Suica too? Last time I traveled to Japan (2019), which focused on Kyushu, I was still using cash everywhere (buses, lockers), I hadn't gotten into using the Suica card then.
ОтветитьI’m on a trip through tohoku now and over the last 2 days at Akita, i’ve seen almost no international tourists. Just amazing
At the same time because of less tourism in the area, the locals are not so used to international tourists so prepare yourself with some basic japanese phrases and google translate
Thank you for sharing this itinerary. Much appreciated !
ОтветитьHow difficult would this trip be for tourists that don’t speak Japanese?
ОтветитьTaking notes on this now since I will be traveling to Japan first time and interested exploring the less toristy places
ОтветитьYay! Yay!
ОтветитьYay!!!
ОтветитьYour recent videos have been stellar, dude! The editing on this one is crisp! Keep up the great work.
ОтветитьFantastic! Saved for my future planning.
ОтветитьI need this trip in my life 💯🤩 I think it's perfect for me because I've been down, I've been right up but not in-between , never these places! Love it , the video that was recommended to me at the end was The reason to visit Japan in Summer
ОтветитьThe famous Ninja Monkey route
ОтветитьThe castle in Aizu-Wakamatsu was really trashed during the Boshin War so I'm not sure how much is original. The forest in Aomori is especially beautiful with buna and hiba trees but there is always the possibility of bear attacks.
ОтветитьThere is nothing like a great festival to see the culture of the country you are visiting. It looks amazing! Thanks for your fantastic knowledge of Japan ❤
ОтветитьAlthough I really am anti hot weather, your video's highlighting the Akita Kanto Festival could maybe convince me to brave Tohoku in August. I'm a huge lantern festival fan, and damn it all the other places in this video have their own charms. You just keep proving you can never get enough of Japan.
ОтветитьBike renting should be a staple to any type of exploration.
ОтветитьBut now that you posted it.... lol. Our first time in japan was noboribetsu and sapporo and our regreat was not staying there longer. Osaka mainstreet was a no and we skipped kyoto (did nara instead) and tokyo as we were remined why we moved out of major cities such as nyc and miami. Its way too much people, sounds and jumbo lights. Well use this for our summer trip next year and enjoy the north fully. Would love some tea farm recommend
ОтветитьDid you pick Sakata because that's where your twin (Chris Broad) taught English?
ОтветитьI may have to check some of these locations next time I go. The festivals look really fun. But I was wondering, could you make a video with tips for renting a car in Japan?
ОтветитьI finally "completed" my own "mixed itinerary" making a "triangle" between Tokyo, Osaka and Fukuoka (since I really wanted to include at least a week in Kyushu and a night in a nice ferry), I have left Kyoto and Nara only for optional "one day short trips" (from Osaka and also in Tokyo I plan to see some "less tourist" zones and "hop" to other places, again by short "one day" trips... let's hope it will work....😁
ОтветитьLooks good! - Once I get my next trip in July done and dusted I'll be thinking ahead to next year (probably going for a month) and tempted to explore this region.
ОтветитьAre the famous "Akita Bijin" included??? 😁😁😁
ОтветитьOld towns = Always have cash on you
ОтветитьAfter seeing this in relation to your Japan in summer video, I think you are spot on with these suggestions and itinerary. Definitely on a future list. Thank you
