As an example if my 5 year old has a fancy dress party and wants to paint his face red.. sure.. or green.. no problem.. or white.. of course..but black.. oh no that's not allowed. Have anyone heard jokes about "stupid blondes"? Even where I live, in Scandinavia, "Blue Eyed" is a synonym for "naive". So systemic racism?

Yea, I don't know a single person of brown or black skin that give a fuck. Intent matters and although it could be used in a racist way, blackface isn't inherently racist. It's more racist to give people special treatment out of pity because you don't understand their culture. I'm not innocent though. I'm alittle racist towards the whites. I'm working on not being so.

Blackface is bad. We all know this. BUT...isn't whiteface bad as well? The movie "White Chicks" was on TV just the other day. Funny show, good actors...but...its two black guys in whiteface acting like stereotypical white college chicks. How is that allowed to go on? By the way...could you even have a movie with the title "blacks chicks"? Wouldn't THAT in and of itself be racist?

Actors wearing blackface is not racist. What IS racist is politicians and the media screaming about it, and promoting racial hatred. If television shows like Amos and Andy are "racist", why aren't the Real McCoys racist? Or The Big Valley? If the characters are black it's racist, but if they are white it's not? Politicians and media are the REAL source of racism today in the US. They make everything a racial incident. Aunt Jemima or Uncle Ben are "racist", but not Betty Crocker. We need to realize who the REAL racists are, and stop listening to them as they try to create hatred between us.

Perhaps we should tackle other practices. Racial entitlement - Black comedians can freely use the N-word but no one else can. Racial discrimination - how many white, Asian or Latino basketball players are in the NBA? Why are there disproportionately many more Blacks involved in crime than others (per ethnic populations)? Why do mixed race marriages have a higher divorce rate? Why do Blacks exhibit more uneducated behavior than others? I could go on, but these will do for now.

Let me offer myself as a professional scapegoat. For a small fee I'll let anyone call me names or do anything except physically touch me. Black people can wear whiteface near me and I won't care one whit. Such a deal.

Rex!!!! My first job was in Rex, GA where this building still stands. And that was a step up as I was raised in Alabama under George Wallace. Religion? Raised in IBLP (Duggar cult) so no tv, no film, no pants, no make up , no jewelry, no radio, music with "a beat" as that was too "Black", no cutting hair..... u get it.
