What if Darth Plagueis transferred his essence into a new body and assumed the identity of Cliegg Lars? He goes to Tatooine, buys a moisture farm to serve as his base of operations. Then he purchases the mother of the Chosen One to continue his experiments on creating life using the force. He allows the Tusken Raiders to take Shmi in order to lure Anakin back. Anakin comes to Tattooine, tracks down his mother and brutally avenges her apparent death. but, when he brings the body back to the Lars homestead, Cliegg says he may still be able to save her. He invites Anakin to join him in his workshop and they bring the body into an underground chamber. Cliegg shows Anakin the ultimate power of the force, drawing him in entirely. As Shmi once again draws breath, Anakin pledges himself to serve his new master.

But i think you misunderstand anakin and watto's relationship.

The movie makes it very clear that slaves are incredibly expensive and are therefore extremely valuable, why waste one by beating the living crap out of them for absolutely no reason?

Your idea of slavery comes from the american perspective, where we treated slaves incredibly poorly, so i can definitely understand this assumption despite what the movie portrays.

Watto was more like a sleezball uncle than a slave owner. As long as the two of them remained valuable they were treated well.


Which is stkll an absolutely horrible concept, but you don't have to exaggerate it for the sake of this story.

The only way I can be happy with this ending is if Asoka and star killer somehow manage to get in that place with Anakin

And then they could either replace the son and the daughter or they could be sent out into the world
