Does GTA 6 really need a huge map?

They had like 10+ years for a bigger map but no, they focused on milking GTA Online.

I want a giant map with detail like Red Dead I trust them to do that and I want the map explorable as soon as possible so that the game experience isn’t straddled by the story…

DUH, let's be real, who TF waiting 11+ plus years and counting for smaller map than V. We not getting another GTA after 6 for AT LEAST bout 17 years LOL. The map 2 cities already confirmed people need to be satisfied with that and not worry

Map needs to be big but not big like gta 5 where its 30% city 70% terrain,
they need to do something like gta san andreas did but on a bigger scale, Gta san andreas map is very diverse every place is unique soo gives the impression the map is huge

For gta 6 map to feel big it needs to have:
- At least (3-5) big cities And all with different vibes to it
- alot of small towns i would say 10-15 small towns
- differnt biomes , from forests , to swamps and other biomes like Red dead 2 does well
-And caves and small islands to explore would also be cool

If the game has all of that not only the map will be big but with alot of diversity also will give the impression the map is even bigger

I think people would like a big map because it has been a decade since GTA 5, if the map would end up like the crew 2 map then theres no need for a massive one. Its a lot to ask for but what people want is a massive map with the great little details that made los santos so fun to explore

Yes. I personally need it to be like twice as big as GTA V's map. The thing about GTA V is, the maps big, and I still find myself finding a new area or thing I haven't seen before, but the interiors are non existent, which makes the exterior the only real area for exploration... If I can't have at least 70% enterable buildings, then the map needs to be twice as big. Also, I want to be able to corden off an area of the map and make it mine, so to speak. I don't know if I'm the only person who does this, but I like to have a quadrant of the map under my general control.. More map means more freedom to do so.

I think it would be cool if they had islands greatly separated by water that you can only fly to use ferries or boat. Be really cool to see them use a cruise ship that takes a whole day to get to 24 minutes real time multiple islands multiple stops

Not counting they've made it clear we are going to Leonida State (Florida), so we may also be able traveling to surrounding cities from Miami, as Orlando and Tampa, for example. RDR2 had a huge map and that worked so I'd say there's every reason to think R☆ will get it right with GTA VI

As long as there are no dead areas like Mount Gordo or Paleto Forest, either size is fine by me.

I feel like GTA 6 map should be “endless” in the sense that it is not an island but rather continues on but has invisible walls where the map ends. It just feels weird that a map clearly designed after los angeles is depicted as an island
