Hi Ladies! I've been doing your routines for several months now. I am in my mid 70's and in reasonably good shape. Exercising with you and your mom soon made me feel quite fit with increased stamina. Even enough that I added weights. Your videos are clearly safe (PERFECT) for me as long as I use your mom as my leader, and keep up with her which is what I SHOULD be doing in order to stay safe and fit.
I am making this comment in hopes of reaching other elderly women that might do what I did, YOU and your mom had me feeling so good. I foolishly thought I could challenge my elderly body further. I took it to new level by exercising with a different video geared for 55+ (Not one of yours.OOPS) I added weights and began lunges, jacks, skaters, etc. Summary within 2 weeks of that I fractured three metatarsals in one foot. Thus I've been in a knee high boot for going on 6 weeks. Point here is I learned a hard lesson. It turns out as we age our bones usually thin and become brittle. It's a natural part of aging. I know I should have known better, but my confidence and pride got the better of me.
The consensus is elderly people should not be jumping up and down with weights, Maybe not even without weights. I am on the mend and looking forward to returning to your routines with you and mom. I think I've got about two weeks to go. Can hardly wait! Thank you for presenting safe workouts for seniors.

ОтветитьIs it important to heel touch? What tis the benefit or heel touch as opposed to toe touch? Also, I noticed when you march it out, you step seems to be front of your foot down first. I'm trying to emulate, is there a benefit? Thank for what the two of you wonderful ladies do!

ОтветитьI had family visiting again since I live in Tampa and they reside way out of town. Felt a little sluggish when they were here because I didn't have a chance to do your videos. Did one of my favorites when they left and boy did I feel energized when I completed the pyramid using 3 pound weights throughout! Hugs to your terrific Mom, to you and Mochi.❤
ОтветитьAlways love your pyramid workouts because they are low impact and they don't hurt your joints. It's more challenging in the beginning and gets easier as you continue the exercises. You see the end coming! HaHa I am 81 and have neuropathy plus osteoarthritis. So, I think I'm doing pretty well for my age and will continue your wonderful workouts to stay as healthy as I can.... So appreciate the variety of exercises you have made and continue to make with your Mom!

ОтветитьJust finished doing this exercise and really enjoyed it :) I am a 40 year old woman and I am overweight so trying to lose some.of the weight and feel better in myself I also love doing your longer step aerobics exercises to and I'm finding I'm not getting as tired or out of breath walking up hills as I used to do and I walk a lot quicker ad well , so please keep up the good work I always love getting notified when yous release a new exercise video

ОтветитьI had been planning to do this "new to me" workout all week (since Monday) and finally got to it today (Friday)! My days this week were either so busy that I couldn't make time for a workout, or I was so tired that I had trouble getting myself going in the morning and didn't want to work out too late in the day. Not the way I like to be, so I hope to get back on track of working out 6 days a week, starting today. To try to make up for my missed workout days, I ramped this one up with 3-pound dumbbells all the way through (except for warmup and cooldown). I pretty much kept to your pace, and it felt like a HIIT workout to me, based on my exertion, breathing, etc. Another good cardio/strength combo to add to my favorites! I also started my day with your Core Floor Exercises, which I actually did in bed before I got up this morning.🛏😊
P.S. The way the two of you were talking about the word "dewy," I'm wondering if maybe this was the first video in which it was mentioned? I'm so used to you using that term that I have no idea when it started. Were you both saying that you originally heard (saw) the term in a viewer's comment?

ОтветитьMy back and hips still hurt a little bit from the boxing work I did last week. I took two days off and I did this work out today near the end. My back was a little sore, but I chopped it up to sore because of working out the whole point of me doing these workouts is for my health for my mobility. I was so deconditioned because I hadn’t moved for so long that I couldn’t take a 20 minute walk without punching over and slowing down, so back pain is part of it. It’s not excruciating so I can push through it, but I really want to get to the point where I can actually go out and enjoy walks without discomfort. Thank you very much, ladies.
