Did anyone ever take a first pitch, fastball and drill it to the gap harder than Nomah?????

Imagine -- a player who gets far more applause from an opposing team's fans than he ever does from his home-town fans.
When you think about it, that's really sad. No matter where he plays, Fenway is still his home. And home is where he belongs.

Watching in 2021. Clapped with the crowed. I modeled my game after this guy, my favorite player growing up and until this day. People even said I looked like him, wore 15 to give it my own little spice but had to have #5 in there. Nothing will compare to watching sports center just to see him play.

I was there. Successfully planned a trip there in advance, anticipating his return, even with his frequent trips to the DL

What an odd matchup. John Smoltz, in a Red Sox uniform, against Nomar Garciaparra, as a A.

straight F-in class right there. Not hard to do. Its not selfish, some ballplayers would think that and its unprofessional, but give your fans an acknowledgement. He did. Kudos to that dude.

Nomar was the man back in the day. Always wished they won in 03 when he was still around, or brought him back for the 07 run, but unfortunately it was never meant to be.

nomar should of been a red sox for life instead of a steroid aided 2004 world series dump. red sox ownership acts like they are a small market franchise - they are not. their owner is one of the richest owners in sports. its a shame for the fans really - when i think of nomar i think of a man disrespected.

Smart move by Theo to trade away Nomar for Orlando Cabrera. Nomar was too much of a muscle head and while his stats were off the charts, he could not stay on the field. Jeter made the HOF and Nomar did not.

The way he was treated by the team sucked...he was our best player for years. Injuries messed up his career. Wish they had handled it better. The new Netflix doc doesn't make him look good in terms of how he handled it.
