A RDR1 Scene That Definitely Hits Different After Completing RDR2 - Red Dead Redemption

The dialogue in this game is just better. RDR2 was good at taking itself seriously, at giving Arthur emotional depth. RDR1 is very much an old Rockstar game. John is a sardonic and world-weary man, tired of the way things are but is also way past the point of giving a shit and just wants to take care of his family.

This character does not actually appear in RDR2. No, do not pull out the 'he was young' excuse. Even in the epilogue John does not speak with the same voice he does at any point in RDR1. My only guess is the original dialogue writers left Rockstar.

My favorite part of RDR1 is when Arthur Morgan turns to Dutch and says "Dutchmaster" before lighting him up with a flamethrower.

Can't remember it. Shame rockstar showed no love for the pc version.

Playing Red Dead Remption 1 and 2 just makes you view GTA as wasted potential. It has absolutely nothing worthwhile to say and the characters are pale imitations of characters on shows like The Sopranos.

Rdr will forever be better than any GTA for me. The seriousness and the cold realism is just it.
I just wish we could customize our horses in west cost costums. Imagine a bulletproof horse.

Honestly Uncle voice from RDR 2 Was perfect compared to the first game.

I love rdr1. All the combat lines and the things npcs say are hilarious. I used to play it over and over for years until rdr2 came out. I bought the xbox1 just to be able to have it. One thing I wish is that when rock star originally made rdr1 that they would have included Dutch, Bill, and Javier talking about all the other gang members from rdr2 just so there'd be some kind of continuity.

When you play RDR2 after finishing RDR1 hits very hard, because the game was so perfectly made that the stories perfectly fit and amazes me that they had almost 10 years of diference

I love how Abigail always shittin on John but yet I can’t remember a single scene in all of RDR1 and RDR2 where she was an actual mother lmao meanwhile our boy is busting his balls literally building a home, Barn, and taking the boy fishing, teaching him to ride horses, and she has the audacity to call him out. Classic woman. John deserved so much better than this b side hooker that thinks she’s special. Sad he gave his life for this. Jack was the only good part of this.

Gotta say at 30 years old so glade i came up in the Rockstar Game era i hope the next generation get as lucky as us millennials had it with games with Great storytelling and really worth our money and also by devs who actually give a damn 🎮💯

In retrospect, I think John had to die. Any one of us would've avenged Arthur even though he was against it and Micah would've gotten himself killed eventually but John does get his redemption by finally ending the Van Der Vinde gang and leaving Jack with the ranch.

I’d LOVE to see someone use AI to add Abigail and Uncle’s RDR2 voices into this. No disrespect to the original actors I played RDR1 FIRST (2010 when it came out) and I adore it, I’ve even 100%ed it. BUT, I think we can agree that Uncle was DEFINITELY better in 2 than 1, new Abigail is similar but a tinge different, I probably prefer 1 but that WAYYY more AI work. I don’t mind Abigail 2 though 🤣🤣🤣
