Lol I'm doing master's in economics and I'm watching this video. And when she mentioned the first indicator, ngl i had to take a sip of water cuz girl I hate math and I'm still very weak at it but i love the theory part of economics. it's a very interesting subject but I warn you, IF YOU ONLY LIKE THE THEORY PORTION AND YOURE WEAK IN MATH THEN GIRL RUN. ECONOMICS AINT FOR YOU. Well, I'm somehow doing ok, and my grades have not dropped by god's grace but that doesn't mean my life is easy. I'm most of the time stressed and fear that ill fall behind in the class. So, in conclusion you really gotta love both the theory and mathematical parts of economics. Good luck to those who are gonna opt for economics. 💜

Hey i loved economics at alevel despite it being more challenging than my other subjects. Im not sure whether to do just economics or politics and economics as im happy studying either but would doing just econ be a better choice as i can focus more on that and do well instead of having more on my plate??

Economics is very interesting but graduate school involves a LOT of math, calculus, linear algebra, differential equations. I like math, but I'm only average at it. Econometrics is mostly quantitative methods that you would find in most other social sciences. Not too bad. However in many universities, getting into grad school economics programs is very competitive. They also they require you to do all the heavy math courses.

I just got in college with economics major

In Myanmar,The education system is only to Grade-10 and the students who choose to biology course don't need to study economics. I was used to biology student but at university, I choose economics major as I love to study economics. Now I'm facing the problem I don't know how to study economics effectively. So sad the government upgrade education system to G-12 which must study both eco and bio when I arrived university.I😞😞😞

I can’t join pure Econ at my uni, which is in foreign for not enough preparation time for Maths. But I am reading PPE now, majoring economics. Just trying to cope with Econ myself (PPE doesn’t not enough Econ, ik) even thou it can’t be compared with pure economics students.

So idk about economics. Never looked into, just avoided it bc like you said, it sounded dry to me. I was just attracted to other things. However, now that i am exploring and being more opened, I’m overwhelmed by the options. I feel like i might like a little bit of everything but not enough of one thing to commit. That’s complicated i know. I am a very curious person but only in subjects i enjoy. So… really, what’s the best tip for me now? I just don’t have all the time and money in the world to get into everything to figure it out.

Before you study economics dont study economics...the degree is too general most of the stuff i studied in my bsc were outdated and too general...the only useful stuff i got to study in my UG were statistics and computer science....A lot would depend on what would you be studying besides economics like statistics ...if you are good with number better course would be statistics, computer science, business administration and take a paper or two of economoc but dont get a specialization in it

I used to love economics when i was in intermediate college yet i got B in economics it was my first time having B grade in my 12 years of studying. I started to lose interest in this subject.
Then i got interested in English literature but i got the Economics subject in my university. NOW i don't know what to do.
