Ответитьwhat lovely people! ive always wanted to learn asl, its so interesting to me that its a language with a primarily physical, spatial medium. its a shame so few hearing people know how to speak it (incidentally i remember hearing this was a problem for deaf victims of sexual assault, especially women, sine even when they find a translator its usually a man)
ОтветитьIn their deaf accent haha she is too cute and pretty q
ОтветитьMy sign language teacher (who became a good friend until he died - RIP) was an extremely good driver. It was scary at first because he would talk to me all the time whilst driving and I eventually gave up telling him to watch the road... He always found it funny but never for a moment did we experience any danger whatsoever. Amazing guy, super friendly and supportive of anyone learning BSL. I'll miss his shenanigans.
ОтветитьI am really curious about the size of deaf people's vocabulary baggage. Do they know as much words as the normal hearing people? I would appreciate if anyone could refer me to any important research paper on this matter
ОтветитьDeaf people must have the most clearest mind ever😮
ОтветитьCan deaf people think OMFG of course they can what are us hearing people thinking?? They lost their hearing not consciousness🙄🙄🙄
ОтветитьI want one of those monitors
ОтветитьI was born hearing but now deaf. My ears ring nonstop. Because of tinnitus. It sux bad. Hearing aids help to distract my brain from it by picking up noise. But it never actually stops
ОтветитьI think having a deaf boyfriend would benefit me. Communication is important to me in relationships but the guys I’ve met done open up or communicate about what they think or feel. I’m very patient and open to learning sign language if I had a partner who was deaf. If he is patient enough to sit and write what he’s thinking and feeling, hat shows effort in communicating where other men I’ve met clearly take for it for granted. I hope what I said makes sense. I probably could’ve said it in fewer words ❤
ОтветитьI have a partially paralyzed arm and hand. I always wondered if I spoke sign, would I have a speech impediment?
Ответить👍
ОтветитьI am stubborn, I want to learn it in every single language
ОтветитьThey didn't answer the last question
ОтветитьAm learning sign language and a lot of the words she said was a bit confusing even I learn most of the words there were still some words they sign differently. is there different ways to sign different types of words in asl. Like learn, see, and people
ОтветитьThat was really good!
Bridging and connecting!
All country have they own sign language, like speaken language, the way sign language was made show a part of the culture. Taught sign language isn't the role of schools because they only taught the basic thing that every body have to know for their profesional life like english or another speaken language because we use it in international trade and we have so many many many more chance to use them than we own country sign language BUT all schools around the world should taught sign language as an option ... but I don't think that there are so many sign language teachers for make it real ... moreover The first tep It's to includ more these peoples in the societies, we need to know and learn more deaf culture and other disabled peoples life. Make the world more accecible for them, there should have sign - speaken language interpret in the most importante area like hospital, police office and more. (sorry, I my english isn't good, but I try ...)
ОтветитьThey are both absolutely adorable of the most expression filled people I have ever seen on this channel! I absolutely love it!❤
Ответитьbro if they are deaf why cant they speak,
?
I think it's funny that they added music to this video. Amazing how much we hearing people depend on it just to keep our attention focused.
ОтветитьI searched this because the snoring of my grandma beside me
ОтветитьI like their expressions, i wish more people used their face to talk as well lol. I am considering learning sign language but dont know where to start. I have never met a deaf person so i dont know when i would use it in real life i might forget it.
Ответитьthe first question wasn’t as nasty as it appears. when i think, i imagine i’m hearing my voice in my head. if a person who has never heard sound before thinks, is it a different experience? might not even be explainable coz the experience set is too different.
ОтветитьNot even all hearing people have an inner voice. Most people dont know that. I cant imagine what its like to think for people who cant speak in their minds lol
ОтветитьWhat's the first question actually something people ask or what that just a search suggesting thw next word lol. I just doubt the most common question is if deaf ppl can think. It's "do deaf people think _____" or something.
ОтветитьWhen she talked about deaf people in theater, it reminded of a really awesome version of The Hunchback of Notre Dame on stage where they cast a deaf man as Quasimodo and he signed the entire show with another character onstage singing his songs and voicing his lines. It was really magical and a nice touch because Quasimodo was deaf in the original novel because of the ringing of the bells.
ОтветитьSomeone should read what they’re signing. That way you could watch them sign and understand what they’re signing. Having to read words when someone is signing makes no sense. It would be like dubbing over a language with another one.
ОтветитьDo deaf people prefer old school computer monitors?
ОтветитьI worked with 3 deal guys and I asked if they would teach me ASL.I was fortunate I could use it every day and could interpret for them at our company meetings. They said I should be an interpreter. When I left that company they all said I would forget ASL. Well it has been 46 years since I left and I have forgotten some but my hands do go to the right places. I am much slower now than I was. Now I live in England and there is no call for using ASL, but my wife wants me to teach her ASL. So we go to a coffee house and I teach her. Her spelling is getting better and remembers some words.
Thanks for posting this video it helps me.
Lia is so lively! It's very attractive 👁👁
Ответитьi know a bit of sign it’s been years since i’ve spoken it, and i would like to be friends with mixxie and lia! (…though i have to admit, i’m autistic and i don’t really express that much with my face…)
ОтветитьTrying to learn ASL I enjoy it. Easier to learn than Spanish
Still tricky but I hope to learn it quickly and don't make horrible mistakes that would make anyone angry at me for accidental offensive words/phrases that it my biggest fear
i know a little sign language. not a lot, enough to spell things out and a few basic signs. whenever i meet someone who is deaf and i sign "hi, how are you" they start at full speed and i understand a thing they are signing. and when they learn this they all get this disappointed look.
Ответитьoh yeah she got the best name
ОтветитьHow freaking cute is that dude!!! I can't stop smiling watching him.
ОтветитьSo I have a deaf uncle ( my father ' s younger brother ) and I can bet you he is more intelligent ,understanding , sensitive and loving than other people who can actually speak or listen . His knowledge with respect to general world let it be politics , academics is at par in comparison with other people and that is commendable . As he dnt speak he writes his thought in diary and his diary consists of all about whereabout of politics like election , prime ministers , leaders and all trivial things about them or his favourite thing which is cricket.
ОтветитьThe sign language is beautiful, truly. I should learn it but I dont know where to start :(
ОтветитьRemember how strong deaf people are.
ОтветитьPeople who are uneducated and don't know much about deaf people:
PLEASE DO NOT CALL US DEATH. IT'S DEAFFFFF NOT DEATH. AND DON'T CALL HEARING AIDS EARPHONES & EARBUDS IT'S ANNOYING IDKW.
Came to learn how to sign "can you read my lips" stayed because Mixxie and Lia are the most adorable people ever
ОтветитьI think what the first question was really asking "do you hear an inner monologue?" or "do you think in language?", which is actually a very good question imo
Ответитьone question… can they hear water on their head in the shower? 😅
Ответитьlia is enchanting. so pretty
ОтветитьI took 4 semesters of ASL, i wouldn’t call myself fluent, proficient enough to have conversations though.
I think everyone should know how to sign it’s so useful in everyday situations. Loud spaces, distances. Plus when I was working in fast food having deaf customers come in and my being able to talk to them without a pen was wonderful. Their demeanor would change instantly see someone’s mood shift to bright and happy because I took time to learn their language
The amount of people who never used their brains and are surprised that sign language is not universal is too high. Of course there are different languages, just like verbal.
ОтветитьTheir facial expressions or so on point!!! It gives life to the subtitles.
ОтветитьSehr interessant 👍👍👍👍
Ответить"Do deaf people think?"
Do the people who ask this question think?
