Ответитьshow us how to play melody plus scale solo. I know how to play the Melody but i find it hard when improvising. Where to add the scales. Or the techniques in adding adlibs.. pre and post adlibs in chords and melody
ОтветитьThank you so much
ОтветитьScott is a gifted teacher, I have learned so much.
ОтветитьGreat class, Scott! Subscribed. I have 2 questions: 1. which mode do you play over a SUS chord? 2. How do you the chords when the measure is split with 2 chords? I'm assuming you only play two notes from each chord (assuming 4/4 timing).
ОтветитьThank you, Scott, that was most helpful!
ОтветитьThanks alot!!! You are amazing and your explanation is perfect ♡
ОтветитьThank, I play by ear and sight.
ОтветитьExtremely helpful.
ОтветитьHow can I have lesson from you?
ОтветитьSo clear. Thanks!!
ОтветитьI’ve always tried to play by ear but when I realized that I need to play the changes I realized I knew the tune but not the changes, thus back to the sheet music.
ОтветитьYou have the Quintessential sound of the Alto Sax.
Ответитьamazing teacher. I have learnt much. Thankyou.
ОтветитьI love the way he says finally, "that's it" like you're totally there

ОтветитьThis video was so incredibly helpful. Thank you!
ОтветитьThis is how you improvise? Waiting 6 months for it to sink in and nothing but panic. THIS, I get!!! Click! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
ОтветитьSee, I always assumed that when you switch to a minor chord, you have to play in the natural minor scale of that chord.
ОтветитьWonderful lesson!
ОтветитьSo how did you know to play the G mixolidian over the G7 chord? This is where I'm confused with improvising
ОтветитьWho’s here and doesn’t even play the Sax but the knowledge carries over to other instruments 🥳🥳🥳🥳
ОтветитьThanks, Mr Paddock. Very interesting and useful information.
ОтветитьHow do I identify a 4major in a scale?
Ответитьthanks Scott, I did hit the subcribe button after watching this video
Ответитьhey man this really really helped me out understand this concept much better and now I feel like unlocked something powerful. thank you very much!
ОтветитьIs it and if so when is it allowed to use the whole scale for that chord instead of the just main 4 notes
Ответитьwell done very easy to follow
ОтветитьScott, thanks for explaining this , much appreciated. When you are going up and down the scale are you playing each not as quavers? I've tried copying how you play and all I seem to get is a high pitched squeal. Can you slow down your playing and explain how you're playing the notes. Thanks Gene
Ответить👌👌great very easier to understand
ОтветитьScott, you make this so easy to understand. Question: if I'm jamming with a piano and using the piano sheet music with the chord notations above the treble clef, don't I need to transpose that chord notation. For example, if the piano sheet says C7, I'm not playing a C7 because I'm playing alto sax which is an E Flat instrument, so I'd have to transpose that C7 chord and scale? Am I right on that?
ОтветитьHola scatt como estas??? Me gustaría que pusieras los substítulos en español. Gracias
ОтветитьSo I've gotta know, as you are soloing, what are you thinking? Are you thinking about how the chord is built or do you memorize each chord/scale and it's just there in your tool box to pull from? I don't believe I could think my way through. I'd have to have it in my hands already. If that's the case, I've got a lot of memorization to do! lol
ОтветитьHola Scott, soy de argentina, realmente muy bueno, easy to understand, great, ready to play!!!
ОтветитьGrazie Scott🍻🎷🎼🎶🎶🎶🔥🔥🔥
ОтветитьExelente parabéns 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
ОтветитьThanks so much for sharing your broad knowledge ! One advice : must we learn by heart the different notes of each chord at first ? Thank you, Serge !
Ответитьpro sax player-----
ОтветитьBravo pour ton cours bien décortiquer
Ответитьty u
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьI'm beginner, but this is very helpful, I will watch this video over and over so I"ll understand it.
ОтветитьThis is the first time I've understood how to read those. Thanks!
ОтветитьI've been playing for 50 years but never studied theory. Scott is so easy to understand, as he builds on the basics and de-mystifies a lot that I've asked other players about, but no one ever either took the time or could easily explain it like Scott does.
Can't wait to join his Sax School!
Thank You, Scott.
Scott you have a gift to teach. I have looked at countless online tutorials over the last few years. I have found no one that comes close to being as easy to understand as you. I have subscribed and look forward to following you. By the way I love your compact sound. I would be interested to know the setup.
