We used to have a fixed cat that would make that exact catterwaul noise. We didn't know what it was, but it sounded scared.
If we called out, she'd stop or reply, and come to us or meet us halfway.

Mans spent some much time trying to figure out which term chirp or troll or w.e I lost interested and actually didn’t want to look at any more vids from this author. To much time on unnecessary info Smfh. 👎🏾

My cat always make two rounds around me I already know her plate needs food or water ,and she sleeps all day at night she be awake for attention wants to play, and always looking out the window she's very noisy jajajaja ❤

Our cats always purred giving birth. So, I mean I’ve witnessed about 6 cats doing that. (We picked up most of the cats left behind when owners departed plum island after Labor Day. My parents adored cats & couldn’t bear to see them abandoned. Plus, many were pregnant. We always spayed/neutered.) So for something painful like kitten-birth, a purr can’t always be about being happy. IMO. Maybe the birthing queen uses the sound to soothe herself??? What do you think, Jackson?

I want to share that I used to have nightmares with a thing looking like the "Venom" character, one day my neighbor's cat adopted me and started sleeping over my house, and one night I was having this Venom guy nightmare, then the cat appeared in it, chatting as it was about to chase it, venom guy disappeared, cat vanished from the bad dream, and of course that was the very last time I had that nightmare...

Dogs 🐕 vocalization might be limited , but wolves vocalization is actually more complex 🐺. I think that the domestication process limited the dog's biological vocabulary.

Our cats pretty much only hiss at each other. They used to hiss at the dog when they first got here. Not so much now.

My male (neutered) cat chatters ion his sleep. When he isn’t chattering in his sleep he I’d snoring.

Tbh im glad im about to get her spayed, because she keeps us up all night with her in heat sound, i just got my baby like 2 months ago

Hmmm, I know he doesn't have dementia yet, he's only 3, but I have wondered if my hit & run victim (who was a feral cat hit in the head by a car) gets confused and can't find me & the other cat sometimes at night. Your explanation makes sense for his behavior (and type of yowling) and then he'll find me (or the other cat) and just collapse, purring. Have wondered if he had a bit of brain damage when he was hit (which also probably helped him transition to pet cat life, once he healed).

My cat was found 6 years ago crying under my porch. He was so small I thought he was a kitten but vet said he was 2 years old. He is a black (Bombay ) with the sweetest temperament and often yowls if he can’t find me in the house. Separation anxiety?
