Middlecleugh Mine, Nenthead

I trip into Middlecleugh Mine, Nenthead to view the 230 year old miners' graffiti. The mine also contains a rare example of wooden tramway rails. Unlike most of the other mines in the area access to Middlecleugh Mine is restricted due to the unique and historical nature of this site. Access can be arranged through the Nenthead Mines Conservation Society.
