This takes place 2 years before alien… curious as to what story there is to tell here. Dallas said he’d shipped out with ash in the past but this seems to be focused on earth. As far as we know the Nostromo is the first ship to pick up the signal on LV-426. I’d imagine that Weyland-Yutani has been a thing for quite awhile so not much story to be had in the development of the company. Prometheus and Covenant take place around 18 to 20 years before this is set. If I recall, David sent a message to Earth at the end of covenant. So my guess is that this show will probably follow the company trying to figure out how to deal with that. Now I’m just speculating, but I hope it doesn’t turn out to be that the show ends with the company either planning or pre-programming the Nostromo’s return such that it goes in an area of space they believe David is residing and this leads to the event of the first film. Anyways, hyped to see more lore in this universe after Romulus. Hoping it’s good 🤞🏾

I can't help but feel it's only on Earth (seems to be the setting) so that production costs can be kept low. Story wise it should not be at all unless they really write it well to make sense but I am very skeptical.

summer 2025 is next month in my country

The strength of the original Alien trilogy was that everything - not just the titular monster - was... alien. Placing the Xenomorph in a very familiar environment automatically strips it of what made it scary, because the environment was largely responsible for its terror.

Can't wait, but I hope they don't start making crap up that contradicts the lore already established. En hopefully we can get some true FANS to be writing this show.
