I found the magic of empty cheerios boxes and tissue boxes (from plain tissues- no lotions or scents added) for my little girls! In fact, if it's something that can be recycled, think about using it for rat fun before discarding.

Awwww, I used to have a lot of pet Rats and in my future I want more in my life, but won't be able to get down on the floor like you do. Is there a way I could create a free-range play area and training area raised onto tables?

Can I own a smaller cage and give my rat time to free range in my room as long I make it safe ?

Some of my rats where running around my room normally and the day before my mom bought me a cactus but that cactus had some sort of bug in them that went inside their skin. We got then removed by surgery but one of my rats lost trust in humans after the surgery so I had to rebond with her and she still is scitish around people and it cost me 300$ per rat.

I need a better playing situation. I have a carpeted floor, so i don’t want to just let them run in my room bc it’s too hard to clean. Currently, it’s not that big. It’s only about 3ft by 3ft, so there’s not a lot of space for them to run around outside of their cage. I really need to be able to give them an amazing life, I love my boys so much and I want to give them the best life I can during their short lifespan. Pls give me tips on how I could make the space bigger, and how to diy toys bc I’m a teenager without a job and my parents aren’t going to pay for lots of toys, so they currently don’t have many. (Just fyi, a friend needed us to take our two boys so that they wouldn’t have to die, so my sister took them but didn’t want to care for them anymore, and I had always wanted to care for them. So, I did hours of research but I still don’t feel like I can provide, but I am trying)

I've just bought two baby rats and one of them won't move around much unless it's night, and won't come near me unless I've got food and it's in the downstairs part of their cage. Any advice?

Recently got to rats both males I have started taming them feeding them treats by hands to get them used to my my presence which has really works wonders on one of I'm sure the other one is gonna get more trusting overtime as well but in the meantime he quite aggressive he doesn't really bite but nibbles on my fingers but not cine gentle way like the other rat he really pulls which can be painful any advice on what I could do ?

You can also use dog pee pads for absorpent

But what if my rat doesn’t get along with any other rat he seems pretty happy but I’ve tried multiple different ones and they he don’t like any other rats

Can mouse and rats get medical P -pills they reproduce so fast
There are so many in my house they are coming in the wall in the house and make nest in my house . I love animale but they are starting to get on my mind I need to get rid of them before they are taking o y my house . Any advice ? Ho to do this ?

I know it is an old video, but in case of new people watching it: Do NOT use perfumed beddings oe perfumed anything. It is like living in a perfume store for them. Horrible. Any kind of wood bedding like the pine besding you mentioned is NOT okay - especially pine has a lot of essential oils that is bad for their respiratory systems. You do not want to do that.
Cheerios shouldn't be used ideally. They are full of sugar. You can use other things, that are not that sugary. Especially when I see your training videos it worries me just how much you give them.
When using plastic things you need to keep them from chewing on that. If that is not possible, do not use it. They can accidently ingest it and it cause tremendous pain in their intestines.
And please do not bath them. Unless they fell in something really bad, do not do that. You will probably traumatize them and they hate it

Sputnik are a bad investment. They break easily and the rats chew them very fast. I´m done with Sputniks. A plastic basket served me far better.

one thing about owning my rats are that everytime at Dinner Time my rats are always waiting for their take, and sometimes it ant food that Rats are supposed to eat so it is kinda hard to explain to them that i gave you your damn OXBOW already.

I'm sorry, but I'm in the UK and I just have to say, you're incredible! I am a 37 year old male who has been dying to get rats for the longest time. I haven't because I didn't feel informed, I want my rats (I can only have a pair) to have the best life possible and I didn't feel I can give them that with my lack of knowledge. To have the UK aspects in your videos, it's just made my dream more real, I need to do more research, I would rather have a cage big enough for 6 for 2 rats than 6 for 6, I know they prefer company, but I struggle with space, I have a stupid amount of spare time though and will for the foressable future.

I never thought of having a rat as a pet and until we got our first little pocket puppies and found out what amazing little creatures rat's really are but what a lucky day it was when I stopped two teenaged boys from putting them in the bin and brought them home i think it was my luck luck day now i try to show everyone myself and my girlfriend how much people misunderstand rat's and how wrong they are to believe tham are not clean or not as loveling as other pets because you are not going to believe the fun 😂🎉😂🎉 and the amount of love they're going to give you is a lot more than anyone could ever believe but they are unbelievable and guess what we even let our boys freerome in the front room until we go to bed now i never thought that would happen too but 😂😂😂😂

There is a fantastic place we have in the UK and it is a big help for People who don't have a lot of money and they will help you if you need it the P.D.S.A if anyone is in need they can help you but only in the UK sorry

I completely agree the first time I had a rat it was just one then after he passed I got 2 they are so playful with each other an love to cuddle together

I got three baby boys a year and a half ago, Don Roger and Burt. Sadly one passed away recently, found him in the morning lifeless, he seemed fine nothing wrong, just passed on in the middle of the night. RIP little Donny

Im saving to get 2 rats and im planning on getting a cage for £200. Its 90 x 60 x 160 but im taking the stairs and platforms out and replacing then with ropes and stuff. Its my first time having rats so i just want to know if thats suitable

question, my rats are healthy nothing wrong besides sneezing they sneeze every once in a while but idk if i’m supposed to be worried or not cause they don’t have any of the other symptoms
