Is newspaper okay for a 1x2 area? They never touch the newspaper since it’s covered in 5+ inches of hay.

The rest of the cage is fleece

The piggies do really prefer this combo to the megazorb!!! Could you do a video on how to convince your parents to let you have a guinea pig video? I know I can properly look after them but my parents arent too keen on piggies!!!

I love when you put the piggies in the pen area when you clean their cage! They look ADORABLE!! This is a good option. I currently use fleece in two thirds of the cage, and aspen or kiln dried pine for a 1 by 3 area. It's good, but it does stick to the fleece a little. How sweet your piggies are! I may try this combination.
