I would absolutley love to see the video on the old story! I don't think you've made it yet but it would be really interesting.

it were so good when this happened then they cold do the subnautica 3 where you play as here sister and at the end you can choose what you do and in the 3 subnautica 1 you die and get that what we got 2 you are in the alien base

How are you able to play this version as i would want to play it again

I thought original storyline was better, better voice actors, it was cool seeing the big new room you could build and all the things you could do with it. Just overall would have been a better game if they had stuck with it. It made way more sense too getting stuck on the planet as opposed to flying straight AT the planet with barely any supplies.
I also loved the white out effect happening often in the original builds

I would love to see how you make a whole series about early access below zero. I personaly would be interested in this diferent story and pretty much whole map with diferent locations and places. How everythink used to be mean diferent, how sam was her colleague, the ice dragon, the rocket and so on... Hope you get it :D

I bought the game when it was in early acces but i couldnt really play it because my pc was a potato, so it always crashed after a while, but i do remember the base you started at and also a ship flying in the sky i think? Similar to the sunbeam not really sure what it was, i also watched some videos. I started playing Subnautica again just a while ago, and when i played it on my friend's xbox i was like: Where am I? Where's the base you start at? Why is there a lifepod or something?

I was wondering why this felt familiar, but I remember seeing that avalanch destroying the base so vividly. I also didn't know the story got changed at all, but i guess that's just my stupidity o_o

Subnautica was never really known for its story but we can all agree that Subnautica Below Zero has a really bad story.

This version looks so much better. Subnautica needs tension and the opening really establishes it. Unlike the full release version where she willingly goes to the planet with absolutely zero supplies or a plan.

It was funny when he said I can’t see a (damn) thing. But he censored the damn to keep it kid friendly mid sentence lmao

How did you get to this version

The thing about the old story is that I never really understood what was happening. It was way too ambitious for a Subnautica game and having a ‘live’ kind of story where you kept sending stuff up to Sam and then waiting to see what to do just doesn’t work for Subnautica. The old story had too many characters and too much things going on, which is why I like the new story much more. It’s much more simple and feels way more like Subnautica and even the ‘live’ elements in it with Marguerite actually work really well, especially since it’s only there for a portion of the game and not the entire game.

If you actually find the ending that was supposed to be, I'd definitely be interested!

I really wish they had gone with this storyline instead. I think they ditched it because it was too linear, but it is so much more impactful than what we got. Not that Below Zero isn't a really good game, though knowing that it could have been so much better and got so far in development before the changes were made, kind of stings.

i remember when below zero got into early access i got a cracked version and was really enjoying the story and then when i actually bought it i was so sad that the story changed and i still think it was better

The new story is “a product of our time” to say the least. No soul, no creativity, just appealing to modern culture and playing it safe.

Personally, I liked the reworked storyline better. Mostly because of how Al-An's character improved.

I got the game right when they released it during their stream, and they have updated it since then. The story has been changed so many times, and i remember playing this version too

This is what happens when ticking off boxes becomes more important than making a good story. I watched an hour of gameplay and it was a snooze fest 😴

But at least they had a black female character empowered by the death of her sister so she becomes a survival badass to unlock the secrets of her sisters death 🙄

Just make her trans and autistic while your at it, a movie or game can be awful these days but as long as there is “representation” it gets a pass by the woke brigade.

If only someone could create a mod that overhauls the game to include the complete original story. That would be amazing.

How can you play the early version just now after the release of the changed game ?

The original speaker for Our main character was soo bad. In the scene with Margaret Maida it is especially noticeable since her speaker is excellent.
At least they got that right in the end.

It is so sad that BZ completely lacks the excitement, lacks the biomes full of unique creatures fascinating to watch and everywhere stuff to discover. I have played the first part many times but the second part just once. And then the horrible land levels with permanent snow storms…. Such a missed opportunity.
