The trade spat is a necessary occurence as the US aims at devaluing the $US to put it back into a manufacturing base. The massive loss of manufacturing to China, Vietnam, Korea, Japan and others resulted in a huge loss of power both politically and financially. It makes no sense to make your worst enemies stronger by allowing them to dominate manufacturing. It will be tough at first but it will make the US stronger and more profitable for years to come.

This is NOT what is really happening. ONLY a small fraction of the sudden increase in population is leaving. Texas had a 2 million population increase in about 5 yrs......and naturally an increase in real estate prices by almost double. Maybe 25% decrease of that 2 million are leaving......maybe. That brings down the real estate prices some. I'm a native Texan, and frankly I'm happy to see it. The job market in some sectors might decrease.....as it should when 500,000 population decrease happens. Keep reporting this negative news.......most Texans are happy to see a decrease. There ain't no new ghost towns!!
