Being barged into when photographing sealife! I have been scraped and bruised by fellow divers who aren't too good at maneuvering underwater.
ОтветитьI didn't expect "Don't annoy a fish" to be on the list.
ОтветитьLooking at your Meter while turning your air on. If it Pops out you shot you face with 230 bar.
ОтветитьTrying to reach in, and pull out a Maury eel to photograph, or pet.
Had to end a dive early once because one of the divers in the party tried this.
I do, however, feel confident he will never attempt that again.
On my first dive for my certification course someone tried to signal to the instructor that they had 2100 PSI but messed it up so the instructors thought they had 1100 PSI at about 30 feet and so the instructor had us all come back up and everyone was wondering why and so when she asked, why did we all come up so early the instructor says you told me you had 1,100 psi she then procedes to then show the instructor her gauges and she has 2100 everyone's pretty annoyed
ОтветитьStupid video
ОтветитьOther divers with gopro sticks that push their cameras in the wildlife's face....for everything they see...scare it off and I am left with no good footage.
ОтветитьWell if there is a strong current you can always hold on a rock with two fingers and relax a bit , obviously what you are saying is right but i think there is a small exception
ОтветитьI have never even chomped the mouthpiece of a regulator, yet when I do take diving lessons I will consider some of your points as my First Lessons! Thanks
Ответить6)Go to the toilet.
ОтветитьGolden rule number one: Never dive alone.
ОтветитьDive with a snorkel attached to your mask.
ОтветитьDivers that fin while standing straight up instead of belly down. Using your regulator while on the surface, that's what your snorkel is for. Inflating your BC off your tank instead of orally. Divers that dive in a manner that completely disregards the safety of the divers around them, think spinning in circles while descending butt first.
ОтветитьWell said .....
ОтветитьNothing wrong with swimming off on your own. Need to get as far away as possible from that thrashing ball of arms and legs depicted in your video.
ОтветитьForget to breathe
Ответитьwhat if the animals harass me??
Ответитьhi guys.. (anyone) here from Little Rock, Arkansas in the USA. I recently finished my Open Water Diver course ..yay! (I have a whopping 5 dives so far) but Im now wondering what course to prepare to take next. Im considering Nitrox and Navigation, but...what do you guys thing?.. Are those over my 'ignorant/non-experienced head?.. Thx for your videos! They are awesome and funny..sometimes! :)
ОтветитьDont fart in your dry suit 😂
Ответитьwell about the "holding onto a rock" i don't necessarily agree. Sometimes you have to grab onto something if there is current for example. Obviously, i always check first that it's only rock i'm grabbing onto and not a coral or any living thing...seagrass is the only living thing i would have no problem grabbing if all else fails. About the rest, i agree. I saw once a scuba instructor bring up a huge empty Pinna Nobilis...like are you crazy? It's known to be protected.
And a funny story about ditched gear. When this summer i went diving in Croatia with a team, we had an other team before us that my instructor dove with, and also in our team we had intro and absolute beginner divers too...this was their exam basically (we went with a zodiac so the team was divided into experienced and absolute beginner). And the beginners, and even in the team before us, a lot of people accidentally lost their weights when trying to get back to the zodiac. It fell out of their weight pockets or took the weight belt off upside down and it slid off. And there was a particular place where a lot was lost, so one of our dives at that place was lik: so here we are going to swim around this reef, and then those who have enough air will stay and look for weights. It was under the zodiac so if we wanted we could have just surfaced. It was funny tho, everyone ( some 14is people) just comping through the thick seagrass and searching with their light in the hope of finding weights xD
What's really annoying is that a newbie diver and other is super close to the bottom and does not want to be further up. And the spray sand and mud and makes the visibility less greater
ОтветитьTaking a nap is not recommended either 😴
ОтветитьI'm so tired of "don't touch stuff" crap, are you paid to say it? One boat grounding destroys millions of times more stuff than your grubby hands lol.
What about lobster hunters and spear fisher? LOLOLOLOL
Well my buoyancy is almost perfect but still i held to rocks somtimes... I have nothing else against strong currents...
ОтветитьOveruse tank bangers.
ОтветитьI am very uneducated, but I will be scuba diving next year in Puerto Rico. My question is how long are you normally underwater while scuba diving?
ОтветитьThe most annoying thing are scuba divers that stay in vertical position rather than horizontal. They do not realize how long their fins are and they end up by moving all the sand, hitting rocks and reefs, kicking scuba divers’ head, and not keeping buoyancy by solely adjusting air inside bcd.
ОтветитьDon’t touch the sharks
Ответитьid rather eat chalk than listen to this guys voice
Ответитьlegend has it that that one diver frog kicking in split fins still has not moved an inch!
ОтветитьNever give Mark a boltsnap
ОтветитьDo not panic! My dive instructor would sometimes come up and knock your mask off. Mind you this was in a pool but it taught you how to deal with a situation while staying calm.
ОтветитьIt's hard not to fart though
ОтветитьThe there is a whole ocean comment isn't really true. If you stopped to look at something more then likely someone else wants to see it as well. My issue is with people with cameras that think they are more important then others. So they will just swim into you, to get a picture.
ОтветитьLove the red sea footage
ОтветитьCaugh
ОтветитьMy number one rule of diving is do not die. Anyone violating this rule will not be allowed to dive again.
ОтветитьStay away from trigger fish
ОтветитьDon’t pee in your wetsuit, it ruins the neoprene and it makes you smelly after (and if using rental super gross). Wipe it out if you have to go (two piece open cell free diving suits are the best).
ОтветитьI dive hollis, so I have no limits 😆
ОтветитьTurning off other's air
Ответить"Don't fart in your drysuit" is this serious or a joke? Can it do anything than smell horrific when you get out of your drysuit?
Ответитьbiggest don t do it , is blowing up your bcd by mistake , pushing th red button instead of the black one
ОтветитьA great clip and really useful advice,
..but your video footage is
#1 not great (colour, composition and movement)
#2 not related to what you're saying.
Do you not have any footage that can match what you're talking about?
How about bad body position
ОтветитьPhotographers who think it's OK to hover over something interesting forever while others might want to see it too. You're not the only one on this dive, dude!
ОтветитьYinz guys have wonderful sounding laughs- (SW PA American here) lol
ОтветитьHello, can we have a short talk?
ОтветитьSounds like Marks got a cold in this video....
