2014 rogue can grant himself advantage as of level 2:
Cunning action : hide is a bonus action. If he can hide (using his environment like trees, rocks, walls, etc... he gain advantage)
Then multiple subclass also give him various way to gain advantage (swashbuckler give him advantage if no one is near him, while ebasic rogue give him advantage if someone near the monster, so unless the alli stand right behind the rogue, he always have advantage)

Why 2014 rogue "lost" blindsense? because EVERYONE has blindsense by default in dnd 5e. you always know where anyone is even if invisible or within a cloud of darkness. you do not see them so you have disadvantage, but you know where they are, unless they use the hide action (or bonus action for the rogue) so why they lost blindsense? because it was useless and they already had it since level 1... Blindsense was not blindsight.

Okay okay okay. Duke... These skits have been great, but THIS ONE... NAT 20's FROM EVERYONE!!! Well, except the parents of the Rogues who died. The Parents that ran away after giving birth to a Rogue still got the Nat 20. Also... I'm stealing some of those lines to mess with the constant Rogue in my games. Thank you!

My Soulknife rogue has a good relationship with both his parents. He even sends money to them to provide for them. Being a rogue is more of a career than a lifestyle...

My first ever time playing D&D I made a Rogue Assassin. My DM had never dealt with a sneaky character before, typical wizard, Paladin, cleric, fighter, ranger bullshit party...

I destroyed the entire campaign. A multi year campaign mind you, I destroyed the whole campaign so massively I made the dm quit. We LITTERALY rented a beautiful location to hash out our final conclusion to the campaign. I made the dm so made he LEFT. Litteraly packed his shit up, said go f myself and drove two hours back home. We haven't spoken since lol.

And now many, many years later I'm a forever DM who hates Rogues too.

As a DM of a campaign with a rogue yes. Yes we hate them.

Why the hate on Rogues? I mean honestly, compared to Divination Wizards, Rogues are nothing.
