Yes, Boys and Girls and whatevers, you had a record player, vinyl and nothing else…..Sheet Music was limited to classical and jazz,I also worked Joe Pass Guitar Style and Paul Hindemith Elementary Training for the Professional Musician, TED GREENE CHORD CHeMISTRy my personal bible,thora,quran, b.gita……

Hah ive always said when approaching a guitar solo: be sure to try stealing some of the vocalists chops. Often they’ve done a lot of the melodic heavy lifting and it’s a great base to build a solo off of that ties your solo thematically to the song.

Can’t imagine Jimmy ever doing this, or even Clapton.
