When I read an old German 70s self-improvement book, I was going through a chapter about fear and finishing it sparked something in my mind. I go to my PC to create an Excel-sheet to lay out the questions about fear he suggested:
- What am I afraid of?
- Why?
- What's the worst thing that could happen?
- What is the risk of not doing the thing I am afraid of?
And I immediately start putting down 25 different fears and seriously thinking about what really would be so bad about failing in business. I visualized and calculated, I have enough money to survive for 2 years so I can easily quit my laboratory job and if the business fails, well I'll just live on goats milk for a month. Now I go onto the last question and realize what this fear is holding me back from - the key to living my wonderful dream life! But because that is not enough, I mark this column with the colors green, yellow and red. Green meaning the fear is actually reasonable because I could die and the reward is not satisfactory. Yellow means there is a real risk but it's still worth doing and red means, that the fear is holding me back for no big reason, like in the business example.

So far I have 40 fears in my table and 2 of them are yellow (driving my car because I could have an accident with severe injury or death and it has no airbags; and going on a hike in the alps, where I could fall down a few hundred meters with severe injury. But I'd miss out adventures if I were to not do it). All other 38 fears have a red marked risk of inaction, meaning these fears are all holding me back while not even contributing to my survival in the slightest. I really try my best to find something in me to be afraid of where it's right to not do it, but I just can't... - And I am grateful that this does not exist in western countries, where survival is guaranteed.

The greatfulness part about father is kinda weird. My father does his duty taking care of me as I will do for my son. He doesnt want or need a thank you.

That "you ungrateful pussey" when he talked about gratitude journaling keeps ringing in my head.

Where I currently live, in Japan, we have a form of tradition where you go to a shrine, pick up a piece of paper and it tells your fortune plus a message from God (I promise this is relevant lol).
One time, my message was (rough translation): "Hurt not this body you have received (in an intentional, honorable way) from your parents".
This body, this life, this soul, you received it from your parents. Be grateful for them.
And then to think there's people out there who want to sue their parents for giving birth to them wtf

These 2 phrases really stuck with me, and I hope it's helping tons of people.. which it is.
Thank you for this, man!

I believe that the best way to take action after watching these videos is by taking action in the comments so I'll just list a few things I'm grateful for:

1- I'm grateful for Hamza for making these videos and making me aware of so many different things and improving my overall quality of life
2- I'm grateful for my girlfriend who has always been with me through hardships and trying her best to improve herself and the relationship with me
3- I'm grateful for my parents for always providing and helping me with all my problems
4- I'm grateful for the clothes I have that I wear everyday that make me look good and presentable in front of people

What happens when you lose faith in yourself? No confidence. I know I’m capable, I know I can accomplish whatever I want. But starting it is impossible. The fear of failure stops me from even trying. Because if I don’t start, I can’t fail. Meanwhile, I’m still failing because I can’t even start.

Then I’m angry. Angry at myself, then project that anger. And it spirals. ADHD sucks. It’s not just “not paying attention” it’s the fear of failure, the emotional disconnect. The self hatred. The allowing people to tell me things and me believing it. Everything I start, I destroy. I ruin it. Because I cannot allow people to talk to me a certain way. I “stand up” for myself and it hurts me in the long run. I lose everything. Everything I gain, it gets taken away some how.

It’s getting to the point where I don’t think I want to keep trying. I don’t want to keep fighting. It’s not depression. I’m tired. I just can’t get it.

Idk why I’m saying this.

bro when are you gonna make videos for mature people who are like In their 30s, and not call us a little shit. ik you make videos for your little brother or, young guys, but some of us have kids to take care of, careers, solid beliefs systems ect.

appreciate all you've done for the community ect. but I think that the next part of your evolution is to make conent for more developed, educated, mature audiences.

just something to put in the black book like MJ Demarco did and took constructive criticism to improve his business!

Bro my father went to get the milk and never came back. When he stayed here he just sat in his room, farted and kept shouting about grocery prices 😂 my mother cheated on him multiple times, shes ungrateful 100% of the time. What the actual fuck can I be thankful for my mother never cooked anything for me. I can't be thankful for something like this, they also both fucking hate each other. My father's not a good role model and they both badly represent relationships to me which make me not want to get married because I don't want to become like either of them. Wtf do I do

When hamza actually said something to call em out they’re ungrateful because of what idiots say there is nothing to be grateful for cause they’re parents don’t believe in their children’s goal. I was an asshole to my parents after what they do for me or something and guess what I’m fucking happy hamza said that cause I need to improve my relationship with someone I care about and cares about me. And my parents as well.
