Can we replace the 4th and 5th at one time, or do we need to discard several tanks full of water in between the 4th and 5th filter.
ОтветитьCan I use my hands with latex gloves to install the new membrane instead of using my dirty plier?
ОтветитьMy 3-stage RO filter unit is positioned within the laundry water tub. This is useful just in case the filtered water dispenser container accidentally overflows. No damage will result because any filtered water overflow goes down the laundry tub drain.
ОтветитьLong nose needle pliers will not remove the RO membrane from the plastic housing on my 3-stage filter unit. It takes a brute force manual pull method of steel wire attached to the membrane handle, and the other end to an outdoor pipe. It just happens that the membrane on my filter unit is too strongly stuck in place for simply using pliers.
ОтветитьI would like a video that explains how to do disinfection. When you have an antibacterial cartridge. To disinfect from the first tube to the tank.
ОтветитьThanks so much for the video. Very useful.
ОтветитьHow in the world do I prevent water from gushing everywhere? Anything I try to take apart makes an absolute mess...I feel like it shouldn't be this hard.
ОтветитьGreat video. I’m going in tomorrow morning. Wish me luck
ОтветитьYou say clockwise to open but we see the opposite on the video.
ОтветитьFor the membrane encloser I had to replace the quick fittings elbow. I pulled all of them and noticed one was a check valve. I forgot where the check valve elbow go? Can anyone help me? 😅
ОтветитьI just replaced all 5 of my filters but i have a small leak on the 4th stage membrane. The leak is coming from the housing itself (the part that screws open) and not the tubes or connections. I have tightened as much as I possibly could and there is still a small leak. I'm not sure what to do?
ОтветитьHey everyone there’s two tools they give you to unscrew the different chambers
ОтветитьIs my clock turning a different direction?
ОтветитьCan you give the order numbers for the filters
ОтветитьHi.. should i change the membrane if stinky smell comes out everytime first start i open the day after? The stinky smell is about 3 minutes. after let it flow it becomes normal smell...
ОтветитьI couldn’t remove the canisters and also when I tried to turn the water back on. The water didn’t come out how long does it take ??
ОтветитьHere are my tips after I watched the video twice and replaced all 5 filters:
1. Remove the system from the wall if mounted. Its much easier to replace if you don't have to squeeze in under the cabinet
2. Have a towel and or bucket ready under the filter you're opening to catch the water
3. Use the provided separate tool to remove the RO membrane twist cap. Its very tight. This separate tool is different then the tool used to unscrew the sediment and carbon pre-filters.
4. Leave the system out when purging to check for leaks
We replaced 4filters, but no water seems to come out , even with a wait of hours, anything that you can suggest?
ОтветитьO
ОтветитьWouldn’t it be best to to flush out the first 3 filters since they have so much sediment ( charcoal) I usually disconnect the hose that comes out of stage 3 and let that flush out into my sink about 5 gallons.
ОтветитьI use a hammer and rubber and force it to turn around it but i did dent a bit but im able to change it😂
ОтветитьBest video ,great job!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьI read something about bleach. This video doesnt mention the bleach. Do I need it?
ОтветитьNightmare
ОтветитьGREAT to-the-point video! THANK YOU! I have a system that i built for a friend, but it never got to be reinstalled and has sat for about 2 years. Do you think the system would be ok if I just gave it a good flush? or do you think i should replace the R/O membrane. It only had about a month or two of use before being plugged up and sat for 2 years....
ОтветитьVery precise and informative video! I replaced all 5 filters. Just make sure that you don't kink any of the lines🤪 Thank you!
ОтветитьThank you.. This is much easier to understand.
ОтветитьYou need to flush FILTERS AND BYPASS THE MEMBRANE! This isn’t mentioned and absolutely should be. Or it will all be caught in the membrane and clog prematurely.
ОтветитьJk, nevermind, I put my left earbud in and now I hear the words. 🤣
ОтветитьYou forgot the words
ОтветитьThis 5 stage osmosis filtration system is great, but changing the filters are a pain. Thank you for the helpful video. It is easier with help.
ОтветитьI just set up the system, My 3rd stage filter is leaking water. System is not useable.
ОтветитьVideo is okay, but it obviously shows a system that actually wasn't in use. There will be lots of water in the filter canisters, so advise you to have towels on the floor to collect the spillage. As for clockwise and counterclockwise, it's all relative and depends on which direction you are using as a reference. Thanks for the advice on running 2 full tankfuls through if you replace the membrane.
ОтветитьI changed all the filters and now I have low water pressure in the RO system. Please help.
ОтветитьAt 35 seconds, "open the housing by turning clockwise..." Huh?!?!? OMG! That's counter clockwise! Hahahahahaha! At 1 min 8 seconds, "hand tighten the housing by turning counter clockwise." WTF? How can anyone get such rudimentary principles ass backwards?!?!? I came here for disinfection info because my unit has been off for a while and now I'm questioning if I can trust what's being said at all :(
ОтветитьI uninstalled this in my home because it was just too difficult and a hassle to change the filters, not to mention the low water pressure.
ОтветитьYo where do you get the wrench
ОтветитьJust changed all filters for first time. found the 2 carbon filters in #1 and #2 the other filter was in #1. I put them in the right order. wondering if the water I have been drinking for the last year was bad for me?
ОтветитьThanks 🙏
ОтветитьCant get the membrane housing cap off. Super tight and even my super strong 20 year old cant get it to move. Any ideas ?
ОтветитьI wasn't aware that I must not touch the membrane and I took it out and touched it, even the blue part, with my dirty hands; should I remove it and clean it somehow? Maybe wash it with soap?
ОтветитьBhai jan mera filter challta rahta hai but water nhi a clean hokr
ОтветитьWhere’s a good place to buy filters?
Ответитьhow to get the training
ОтветитьNow do it with actual water in it and in a real-life situation! Mine installation did not have a valve shutoff going to the unit. I just shut off the whole house water which worked fine.
ОтветитьDoes it necessary to plug it in? Why it's necessary?
ОтветитьMine wasn't quite so easy - I had to remove the RO canister and put it in a vice just to be able to put enough torque on the cap to get it off.
ОтветитьThis was very helpful. There are many videos about this but yours is the best. Perfect for a new DIY homeowner.
ОтветитьQuick tip, if you have leaks sometimes the tubing is damaged and has bite marks in it from the quick disconnect fittings. cut a piece of the tubing off past where the bite marks are and reinsert and your leak will go away.
