Longest intro ever 🤦♂️
ОтветитьBorn & raised in Southie for 45 years and past 11 years in Vermont... and yes we called ALL subs "spuckies"! Wish they made spuckies here in VT. I have to make them myself!
ОтветитьYum Yum Sam
ОтветитьFirst thing I noticed was the change of the wall color. Long time subscriber back when you guys did the podcast format. Love you guys stay safe.
ОтветитьGotta throw the Japanese mayo on that bad boy.
ОтветитьTell me you dont know how to make a sub, without saying you dont know what a sub is.... jesus... that was painful....
ОтветитьYou need mayo on both sides of the bread!
ОтветитьPickled onions would be bussing
ОтветитьIt’s not a kid! Come on!
ОтветитьYou should Grill it!!!
ОтветитьIn the South, it’s a PoBoy
ОтветитьIsn't there a law against un-toasted bread in California?
ОтветитьAny vote cast for leftist scum is anti-American!
ОтветитьThe onion: Italian household says soak the onion a few in water (not warm) makes nice for the sub. All sub shops had the dressing on the counter in case you wanted more. Yum
ОтветитьWatching this reminded me of Jimmy John's Italian Night Club sandwich. Would love to see you make one. Keep up the good work. From their description: A tasty Italian sandwich, made with hand-sliced salami, capocollo and smoked ham, topped with mayo, fresh-sliced lettuce, onions, oil & vinegar and oregano-basil.
ОтветитьThe term “spukie” (or “spuckie”) is unique to the Boston area and comes from the Italian word spucadella, meaning “long roll.”
Ответитьi grew up in Boston and my father always took me for Spuckies. Thank Sam
Ответитьthat's a Italian hero in ny ...we put it on semolina ...sharp provolone would be the cheese...hot peppers a must.....looks good tho
ОтветитьSpuckie is the bread my husband owns a bakery
Ответитьgreen screen Sam???? looks odd....
ОтветитьAyye kehd that ain't no spuckie!! Still a wicked good looking sandwich, and now I want one!
ОтветитьA beautiful sangwich like that with no pickles is an absolute crime.
And I'm pretty sure making it without tomatoes would get you kicked out of the church in Italy.
Looks delicious! I'm a big fan of Italian subs, but the lettuce on bottom with vinegar&oil would kill me! I can't do soggy bread! Put the meat down, lettuce vinegar&oil on top and I'm in!
ОтветитьProvolone over the mozzarella
Ответитьbooston not bahston
ОтветитьFrom Worcester it was a grinda
ОтветитьA little Mayo and provolone and some pepperoncini
ОтветитьOMG! In may not be correct, but it needs black olives. 😮
ОтветитьYou just committed a mortal sin by shredding your lettuce. you give it the texture of grass. Can anyone tell me why everybody allows this. The whole purpose of lettuce has always been to add texture and you just killed it. America, please stop accepting shredded lettuce.
Ответить❤
ОтветитьDefinitily a Manwich, could imagine this with provolone cheese instead of Mozz
Joe from Germany
no tomato? :(
ОтветитьMmmm spuckie looks yummy 😋 never had one that way.
ОтветитьYou gotta go with provolone cheese on an Italian, and you gotta use seasoning which is typically a combination of salt, pepper, oregano. Would have brought this sandwich to the next level…
ОтветитьHey do you really have a anger problem? How do you feel about the Outburst on Good morning america. lol
Ответить10 minutes to make a sandwich, get the f#%& outta hereeeeeeeeee. Greetings from Chicago
ОтветитьI mix in a bowl Mayo, red wine vinegar, lettuce, red onion, and banana peppers then add to sub. So good, next time try it toasted 🤤
ОтветитьSpunkie? Did you really say that? LOL..... Hey Mikey Fuck You.... Killing me guys.... Still haven't cut my finger off again...😎
ОтветитьGrew up an hour away from Boston, lived here my whole life. I’ve never heard the term Spuckie once lol that’s just an mid tier Italian grinder.
ОтветитьLove that sandwich. Your kitchen looks so much better now.
ОтветитьIf you want a little more "Punch" of flavor, try using Mexican oregano. It's much more potent / pungent than regular oregano. Trust me, you'll LOVE the extra flavor, and you'll use it in just about everything. It will bring spaghetti sauce to a new level.
ОтветитьCan u do a beef sandwich???
ОтветитьWhat, no thin sliced tomato? I'm born and raised in NJ, so Lettuce, tomato and onion is the way to go. Your spuckie does look awesome though.
ОтветитьReally wish he would toasted the sub! 😔😭 Cold subs weak sauce and texture... ntm raw cheese
ОтветитьMax/Chance - That White Balance though..
ОтветитьYou can’t call a it a bad boy but you can call it a kid? Ok groom er
Ответитьmade me hungry. so off to subway i go, for a footlong italian bmt on italian herb and chz bread with american chz, toasted. lettuce , tomato, pickle, onion, black olives, vinegar, oil, salt/pepper, and oregano. pack of plain chips
