Godawful styles, but I liked growing up in the Seventies. So much easier than now.
ОтветитьLittle league baseball, mom pop stores.
ОтветитьAnd the Goobmeister 300. You put powdered milk into it and it created ABBA songs
Ответитьas an electronic nerd..i have to say those "components" on stereos, were ajoke
with a little know how, you could use them as guitar amps, and more
my best friend were able to use them to broadcast music, over the phone lines lol
I loved the ceiling lights that covered most of the ceiling in diffused fluorescent light.
ОтветитьBack then I had the coolest stereo speakers in the world! They were ball shaped about 18 in in diameter, painted flat black with a silver toggle on the top and silver plate on the bottom. You attached a chain to the toggle. Ran the speaker wire up through the chain through a hook in the ceiling over to a corner and then back down to the stereo. They hung from the ceiling flanking the stereo. They were called omnidirectional speakers. No matter where you were in the room you could hear the separated sound. I bought them, along with a stereo radio and turntable in 1968, in Japan while I was on leave from my Air Force unit in Vietnam. Then humped them all the way back to Vietnam on any kind of Transport I could get a hold of. From there I had them shipped home to my wife. We just recently gave them to our grandchildren.
ОтветитьThose funky lights that you're talking about? They were actually fiber optics. Something everybody's familiar with today. And they looked great, back then
ОтветитьMy wife and I still have a '70s piece of pottery. It's a rotund very evil looking Dragon flower pot that's open at the top with the upper torso of a guy sticking out of his mouth, and the rest of him inside the pot. That's our little connection to our past. Makes us feel warm on cold nights.
ОтветитьOnce you sat in the bean bag chair, you were there to stay! Yeah, cuz they were so damn hard to get out of!
ОтветитьWish we could go back
ОтветитьLava lamps and strobe lights 😅
ОтветитьBlack lite posters 😊
ОтветитьOmg!!! The paneling in the den 🤣 & gold shag carpet for miles 🤣heavy gold paneled curtains in front room & yellow kitchen with lament flooring🤣 Yellow bean bag chair too & the console TV that weighed a ton & us kids were the remote control 🤣 .....no macrame bc Ma hated it....Tupperware parties too & Tupperware for miles🤣.....lava lamps were my Uncles thing.....Yellow & white pyrex 🤣 thanks for the great childhood memories 🤣 especially getting shocked by the gold shag rug 🤣
ОтветитьI miss the 70s and 80s fun times bring them back. I enjoyed watching this video. 😊
ОтветитьThe wood grain 8 track clock for bedroom orcasset players
ОтветитьI still have a scar from bean bag chair wars! We would run full speed at each other holding the bean bag chair. Also lawn darts took out my friends eye and she has a glass eye now. She also had an extra glass eye with an American flag for the Bicentinial 1976 celebrations. It was pretty cool for an eye. She became more popular with that eye.😂
ОтветитьEye searing colors!😂 So true!
ОтветитьI LOVE 70's linoleum designs. I wish they made stuff like that now commonly.
ОтветитьThank you!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьModern metal dinning table in bright colors with matching dinning chairs, swirly painted ceilings, pink or lime green appliances, oriental rugs, having a bread box and a built in cutting board and a bought and attached crushed ice machine and Dixie cup dispenser.
ОтветитьThe 70s what a good time in life
Was great
The 80s was like this too
ОтветитьI remember those days.
ОтветитьFamily collection of Encyclopedia Brittanica proudly displayed for all to see.
Mom baking fresh cake or pie.
Wish I still had those 8 track tapes.
ОтветитьThen in 1977 Burt Reynold's Smokey And The Bandit, made CB Radios for your car a must.
ОтветитьCan't wait until we can all have a good laugh about today's ubiquitous gray and white painted furniture, gray floors, oiled bronze (black) faucets, white painted brick homes, gray and white wals, etc. etc. etc.
ОтветитьWhat? No bentwood rocking chairs?
ОтветитьVinyl records didn't "peak" in the seventies. Records were the only way most people could listen to recorded music at home for many decades. My dad had a huge collection when i was growing up in the 50s and 60s.
ОтветитьThings just seemed better back then
ОтветитьI still have a coffeemaker that isn't a Keurig. I will never get one. They're very expensive to use every day, and those cups are just unnecessary litter. Coffeemakers by Mr. Coffee and other manufacturers are still very common.
ОтветитьWhat a Golden Age it is !
ОтветитьCool funky wallpaper.
ОтветитьA rotary dial telephone.
ОтветитьMacrame is making a coneback
Ответитьthe Dodge Dart that had the man made installed 8 track player, heaven forbit the machine ate yor tape.
ОтветитьFake wood veneers!!! Yes! So many details in this video that I had forgotten about. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.🙂
ОтветитьWhat about reel to reel decks
ОтветитьI took these good old days for granted at the time but with the passage of time I changed my way of thinking more and more.
I now cherish those days and only wish that I could go back....AND STAY!
PUKEY PUKEY PUKEY !! 🤑🤢🤮
ОтветитьOur entire basement was paneled. The simple, easy life of the 70s
ОтветитьUmmm, the LAVA LAMP! I can't believe you didn't show a LAVA LAMP!
ОтветитьI think my son is getting tired of me saying "Oh and we had this too!" While I put the iPad in his face
ОтветитьThat was the ugliest era of interior design that ever existed.
ОтветитьYes, young people back then actually conversed. Nowadays they are too busy with their cellphones to actually hold a conversation, a lost art, unfortunately.
ОтветитьI really enjoyed the video. I miss the 70’s but not the 8 tracks; it was very frustrating listening to Yes “Close to the Edge “ in that format. My brothers didn’t seem to mind, but they smoked a lot of pot
ОтветитьQuestion: Stylistically, when did the 70s phase out & 80s come in? The 60s & 70s didn’t seem like as major jump as the 70s to 80s
Ответить😊 I remember a lot of 🧡orange 💛 yellow colors on furnitures, cars, clothes. 🌈Plenty of colors🌈. I 💚70 IES
Ответитьthe colors and designs were so beautuful back then, victorian style velvets and orange gold and green. Its sad tge lack of color now
idk what he means by "earthly theme" sounds like something from the bible!! haha
