i dont get the ''conquering wrong religion provinces and keeping allys '' part, eng is not my main language so can you expand it a bit?

Do you have a custom map mod or something? Your map doesn't have the noisy bump mapping that EU4 maps usually have, and I quite like that, because the bump mapping makes it harder to read the map IMHO.

I was once playing as Spain and colonizing the Americas when the natives decided to form a coalition against me. I have never laughed harder than when I plowed through them one by one with my full lines of artillery

by the way here's a military tip: build to max width (you can see it in the military tab) and use cannons if you can afford them. Oh and also as long as you dont play the commonwealth cavalry is not worth it

The only tip you need is to mysteriously crash EU4 when your 6/6/6 heir dies from a hunting accident

One tip i learnt from experience about personal union is to keep diplomatic rep high at all times. Many PUs i got because i had high diplomatic reputation and missed others because low reputation.

Careful : I'm quite certain that Demand Province will NOT prevent a nation to join a Coalition as it only establishes a one-sided truce -- meaning the other nation has no truce with you and can join the Coalition. I made that mistake once and paid dearly.

Is it better to exterminate the native people or have them work for us? I recently discovered what native assimilation is and from what I understood is it increases the goods produced in the province after it is colonized which should make them more useful. Should I kill them first so that they won't cause trouble in the future or should I just station a couple of my army/marines to deal with those who wants to fight back?

I did my first ironman as castile. So far my income is negative, I haven't embraced renaissance and colonialism has started, unrest everywhere and a succession war happened instead of the iberian wedding.

Great tips, thank you. But it just doesn't help with the major flaw of the game: it wants you to lose and it cheats. Superior in all techs by 3 levels? Outnumbering your enemies by 12k men with artillery and cavalry? Experienced general and familiar terrain? Nah. I'm computer, just lose lol. Buying this game taught me a very valuable lesson though; never ever buy a Paradox game again :D no offence to the people who enjoy it though, I'm glad you have a healthy dose of masochism :D
