I like watching these just before going for a walk. Currently I am dogless, so these episodes are perfect for planning how to react before my next dog comes. I roleplay these situations while I'm out.
ОтветитьTFW you learn dragging your 3lb dog all over the place is not the correct technique 😂😂
ОтветитьWe had our first GOOD walk.. He didn't want to walk in our neighbourhood.. Always sitting down. We tried to encourage him so much, but nothing helped.. Toy, food, pets etc. In the mall? Nothing! Only around our house. It took maybe 10 minutes total and he walked all the way around! Keeping up this training method.
ОтветитьHello I having a problem with my BC keep biting leash he see people or especially dog coming on their way or across the street. Is like he telling me to let the leash or him go? How can I fix that?
ОтветитьMy 6 month old lab still continues to pull. I have been trying for months. The only time he walks nice is when I have treat. As soon as he gets the reward he’s back to pulling.
ОтветитьWhat do I do if my Aussie doesn’t care about treats while on a walk :/
ОтветитьYep. My little guy just freezes randomly from time to time.
And then he pulls when he knows we’re heading home…
Thank you my dog is a chomper and a jumper but she’s a puppy so we are definitely trying to teach her she used to be scared to approach dogs and goes the opposite way now that’s she grown she likes to jump and go crazy lol
ОтветитьMy dog is NOT playing when he snarls, snaps, jumps, and attacks the leash.
ОтветитьYeah, I Rebecca at first was a chopper and she’s become a really good walker
ОтветитьI want to try to apply this to my dog that I’ve got my grandparents house that we only taught her how to herd sheep that’s it when she gets on a leash you just drops like a sack of potatoes, but if she’s off the leash, she will follow me, so that’s what we’re having problems with her sister didn’t have this problem
Ответитьi know this is an old video but someone might still be here so. I have a golden retriever that randomly starts biting the least and jumping on me, nothing i do can take his focus from that leash. Hes 5 months old so hes teething aswell and when he starts jumping and biting then im covered in blood or my clothes are. ive tried turning my back, letting leash in when he pulls, body pumping away, trying to lure away with a treat nothing seems to work.... its getting frustrating and it keeps happening more and more, right now its now and then...
ОтветитьI’ve got the triple threat. 😢 My 16 week old Rottweiler does all these thing. and he’s getting stronger by the day

ОтветитьMy dog is OBSESSED with squirrels and rabbits. We walks so good until he sees one. Then he’s jumping and biting the leash. I don’t think he’s trying to play tug. He’s mad at the leash. How do I prevent this?
ОтветитьI have a stopper and im going to try this method. The only way i could get her to get going (for a little while) was stand her up and try to get her to chase me...but then she just kept stopping for a while. Eventually we got into a good rhythm but i could still feel her fighting thr urge to want to stop again.
Ответитьwhat if my pup lies down? she doesn't sit
ОтветитьMy puppy will walk nicely until his tummy is full then be becomes a psychotic chomper :')
ОтветитьDoesnt work for my puppy he would stay down and if i put tension on the leash he would jist start to cry and panic, starts pulling away.
ОтветитьThis channel is fantastic.
ОтветитьTips for a husky puppy who absolutely loves our older dog (who is about 30 lbs) and tries to play with him, but the older dog balks? They lick each other a lot, but as soon as the puppy starts nipping a little or gets in the older dog's space, we get a snarl from the older dog. Not sure how to encourage a good relationship while not allowing the nipping and sometimes intrusive behavior.
ОтветитьI have a stopper/chopper combo
Ответить“You may need to hold that leash for three minutes or more”
Ha ha ha Ha HAHAHA
How bout an hour or two?
My dog will happily lay down and sleep. It can wait as long as it wants. It’s a massive livestock guardian breed and laying down patiently is what it’s good at
My puppy is a stopper and also loves to eat anything he sees in his path, especially mulch.
ОтветитьMy four month old puppy is not motivated with treats. What do I do?
ОтветитьHolding the lead parallel to the ground for stoppers completely transformed walking with my 3 mth old pup. 1st walk trying it, so much better, 2nd, flawless loose lead walking. It's like magic!!
ОтветитьThank you Carol 🙏🏾
ОтветитьSo nice to see something different than an alpha man telling you if your dog does something wrong you’re not tough enough to show him who the real boss is🙏
Ответитьthis is exactly what i needed to see today. I've been doing the things, but I need to be more diligent about the things (i have a hopper)
ОтветитьThis was very useful. I'm just starting outdoor walks with my 4-month-old sheltie and I will keep these tips in mind.
Ответить“If my dog is sitting they tend to be calmer and have more of a brain”. Words to live by 😂
ОтветитьWhat else could be wrong with a dog who doesn't want to move at all with a leash on? We got a 4 month old Great Pyrenees from a breeder who owns a farm a few days ago and she won't move inside or outside with it attached. They may've only gotten her used to a collar and not a leash. If they did get her used to a leash, maybe they used a standard leash and she doesn't like our retractable ones.
ОтветитьI have a little hopper but the treat strategy has been backfiring, as just being around treats tends to get her hopping more.
ОтветитьThank you my 18 week border collie has been crate rested for the last 5 weeks due to breaking her rear toes and everything on lead has gone down the pan, so will try this today 😁
ОтветитьWonderful, needed advice! My 16 week old puppy, has been stubborn about coming back inside, or moving in the direction that I want him to go! I have made the mistake of luring him with a treat. Will definitely try this technique! Thank you!
ОтветитьWhen you said don't bribe them if they are stoppers.. that's the first thing i did 🤦🏻♀️ so glad i found this video.. hopefully I can try these tips with my 9 week mixed puppy.
ОтветитьReally amazing tips!
ОтветитьMine are none of these, shes an escape artist. She pulls back, does some hopping, and wriggles her way out of the leash TuT
ОтветитьI have a 6 months old goldendoodle superchomper. None of the tips work. We use a harness on walks, is this a problem?
ОтветитьThank you! I’m having such a hard time getting my dog to go out to go to the bathroom on a leash. She puts the brakes on. I will have to try this in a few minutes.
ОтветитьThis is brilliant!
Thank you!
Unfortunately my dog does all those 🙃
ОтветитьMy dog has been great on walks, but the last month or so he's been wanting to chomp on his leash and play tug of war. Thank you so much for these tips. I'll make sure to try them asap and see if they help
ОтветитьWhat if you've had back surgery and you can't bend like that
Ответитьmy husky is all 3
Ответитьthanks, so I have just purchased a metal chain so lets see what happens. I will try the collar method to! Will keep you posted.
ОтветитьMy dog is a stopper she does not move at all
ОтветитьI have all 3
Ответить💕 just wow
