** RQ 1st Mini Album - Fighting!
Recently, the Oxford Dictionary added 26 Korean words to the English language. Among them, “fighting” is now English, Korean, and part of the world. This word contains the feeling of Rolling Quartz's intense music, and the hope that their music’s meaning will be shared and actively communicated. It is also an expression of the recording process of this album, which was like a war; an exclamation of Rolling Quartz’s struggle in the Korean music industry, which is a barren land for rock bands; and a message of support to the members themselves, the fandom Diadem, and everyone in the current situation where the sluggish Korean band scene overlaps with the current COVID situation.
** 롤링쿼츠 첫 미니앨범 - 화이팅 (Fighting)
2022년 2월8일 음원 발매 예정인 롤링쿼츠 첫 EP의 제목이다.
최근 옥스퍼드 사전에 새롭게 등재된 26개의 한국어 단어들 중 하나인 ‘화이팅 (Fighting)’은 이제 영어이자 한국어이며 세계어다. 이 단어에 롤링쿼츠의 강렬한 음악의 느낌이 의미로 공유되어 활발하게 소통되기를 바라는 마음을 담았다. 또 마치 전쟁처럼 진행됐던 본 음반의 녹음 과정과 락밴드에게는 척박한 한국 가요계에서 투쟁적으로 활동하는 롤링쿼츠의 심정을 묘사한 표현이자 침체된 한국 밴드씬에 코로나 시국까지 겹쳐진 현 상황에서 멤버들 스스로와 팬덤(Diadem) 그리고 모든 사람들에게 전하는 응원의 메시지이기도 하다. 무비는 장소와 좋은 설정이었고 각 맴버 역시 장면 퀄리티도 좋았는데
한가지 아쉬움이 있네요.,.
콘서트 라이브 처럼 방청객의 반응을 교묘이 교차 녹화해 만들었으면 좋았을텐데
