that tv movie suspense thriller on ABC Tv possibly aired in the spring of 1973!
Ответить"DELIVERANCE" meets D.B. Cooper.
ОтветитьGod I love that intro. You should post every one that you have
ОтветитьI SO LOVE THE OPENING ALSO. DELIEVER US FROM EVIL WAS A GREAT TV MOVIE TOO.
ОтветитьHey, was the film "A Simple Plan" based on this? Similar premise!
Ответитьrobatsea2009, do you have the full movie? I have never seen it and wish someone would post it here.
ОтветитьSorry, I do not have the movie itself
ОтветитьShame. It's a darn good film.
ОтветитьThis movie is available on Amazon as a manufacture-on-demand title (DVD-R). So it may not play in all players. I ordered it a while back and it's as good as I remembered.
ОтветитьI composed the score for this film - and remember thinking at the time how good the cast and direction was. I kept hoping it would get a theatrical release some day.
ОтветитьI saw this when it was first broadcast. I remember my mother calling George Kennedy a "dirty son of a B----h". (referring to his character, not the actual person)
ОтветитьWow, look at these ancient graphics?
I'm going to save this video just to be able to keep them.
Of course this TV made movie was developed after the infamous/famous "D.B. Cooper" heist in 1971.. I have this on VHS. Great flick
ОтветитьWHY do they TEASE us with only the intro ...?
Ответитьforget your friends take the money $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
ОтветитьThey had a few "rip-off" movies like this so kids could watch. They made this since most kids couldn't go see" Deliverance." They also did an "Enter the Dragon" one for TV. Both of them god in they're own rights.
ОтветитьIt does prove Jan Michael Vincent was a pretty decent person. I wish all the ABC Movies of the week would return.
ОтветитьMy God! I think I remember this film. I'm sure I saw it back oh so long ago.
ОтветитьRIP Jan Michael Vincent, Jack Weston, George Kennedy, Bradford Dillman, Charles Aidman, Jim Davis, and Boris Sagal.
ОтветитьMy parent's home in Hoboken for good at the TV day parlor area of this broadcast in 1973 thank God I'm not in Woodbridge where I was in 1971 two years earlier. Woodbridge State School in 1971 to Hoboken in 1973.
ОтветитьThat sucks it shows preview but not the movie
ОтветитьGood movie. I miss my youth...
ОтветитьIts on DVD try to get it a Fantastic movie !
ОтветитьI just saw this in a compilation and just howled! And now I find out it's a classic. No wonder!
ОтветитьTMOTW, gave us Brian's song. DUEL, THE Night Stalker just to name a few great TV movies. Loved this music intro & show.
ОтветитьBurt Bacharach composed the opening jingle I used to hear in bed when my mother watched late night movies as her musician husband was on the road having affairs on her.
ОтветитьAlot of these movies were revised versions for TV. If you were too young for Deliverance, this movie Deliverance From Evil was age appropriate. They did the same thing later on with a remake of Enter The Dragon called Men Of The Dragon (more age/TV appropriate).
Ответитьwhere is the film
ОтветитьAlways loved this theme, which was composed by the great Burt Bacharach, originally for his daughter Nikki.
ОтветитьI just love the theme of movie of the week, ill just keep playing it over and over, taking me back in time.... for aleast a few seconds🙄😒🤧🙂
ОтветитьI think there was a teachers strike that year, because I remember watching this (as well as Isn't It Shocking? and A Cold Night's Death) when it was first broadcast.
ОтветитьLooks like a pretty good movie. I'm sure I've seen it when I was very young.
ОтветитьBring back abc movie of the week!
Ответитьthat theme music is like a time machine... takes me back to a time I would give ANYTHING to return to... thanks for posting... and yes,it was this broadcast...
ОтветитьI remember this on TV as a re-run in the 80's.
ОтветитьSaw the premiere back in 1973. I was 13. Enjoyed the film . I called through the years TV MOVIE "Poor man's DELIVERANCE ". Recently bought Warner DVD-R. Holds up very well for a 75 min film. I RECOMMEND 1998 A SIMPLE PLAN for a bookend to this film
ОтветитьCall all Jan Michael Vincent
ОтветитьThis must have been based on D.B. Cooper who hijacked a plane and parachuted out with stolen money a couple of years before this film was made.
ОтветитьWikipedia says it aired September 11th 1973. What else took place that day? In what country? It's been called the other 9-11.
