This is BAD! SWGoH Community is on FIRE - Paywall at an All Time High?

This ne2 galactic challenge system is not nice to f2p players...i have an 11.3 million gp account been playing since basically the beginning for the longest i was f2p over the last couple years i spend when i need too never more then $20-$25 on some of the lightspeed bundles to finish up projects ive been wanting completed for some time...but now with this new system for the challenge you can't even get credit for competing the battle without buying the event pass thats bullshit. Also can mon mothma have the rebel fighter tag already bc if you dont have Saw geared up and you dont have luthen yet..kinda hard to complete an all rebel fighter feat.

this whole new layout SUCKS!! now we have some dumb "episode" nonsense... They just milking us for every dime they can get!!!

It's pretty simple though, played since day 1, spent 0 dollars. So what if I can't do something? Life moves on, it's a game, who cares, when this game gets shut down everything is gone anyway.

My biggest issue is the price, it's $30.99 AUD for 28 days, have to imagine there will be no downtime so that 13 times a year is no small price for something that's just a extra rewards, i can buy Xbox game pass for $23 and i get access to a new AAA game pretty much once a month. Just too expensive for what it is

This just feels like one of those non-issues that was working well, and they overly complicated it. It feels more like a chore now to scroll through the quests that need to be done to see what I can do for free.
I think one of their biggest mistakes was to show what you can get by buying the pass, which can be infuriating. To add to it, they have a pass+? Now you're adding hot sauce to the wound

If they keep adding more pay walls, I’m not going to spend shit. Had no problem paying for conquest and an occasional LSB…but fk them if they think I’m paying for a regular ass toon like huyang

This game sucks now. It's not fun anymore. Guild members quitting game in record numbers. I'm getting to that point, too.

MobileGamer saw the future years in advance. He saw the "Capitalism Gains" for what they are. Unless CG does a HUGE course correction, this game will be dead in a year.

Hi Ahnald, thanks for the content. This reply comes post-first GC 'fix.' To be frank: it is completely tone deaf. They increased the REWARDS for GC, but they did not change, whatsoever, the ACCESSIBILITY. I'm not f2p, but I am 1.5m gp (because of 3 LSBs), and I do not have Tuskens or Jawas. I was EXTREMELY lucky to have a full team of rebel fighters to get me a few points from that, so I got to level 5. The math for maxing out the episode points without the pass ASSUMES you have all the teams and can theoretically max out every week. They truly, desperately need to add f2p content back to GC, otherwise they are going to lose players.

Total garbage. 6 years in…I can’t do it anymore. It’s sad, really. Been a big part of my life but I quit both accounts yesterday. Anyway, f**k it. Life goes on. Thanks for the laughs Ahnald.

I quit SWGOH years ago but miss Ahnald. The best SWGOH CC out there.

I think this is the straw. Its not even the same game that i knew and loved anymore. It used to enjoyable.

NOW it feels like a shitty job that I have to pay to do.

I have played this game since it started, I was a casual F2P player the entire time since dropping this game about 6 months ago. I never chased the meta, i knew GLs will he the absolute focal point since they were released, they have some bs mechanics to keep them above the rest which is its own issue to rant about. Overall the game still remained the same Grand Arena was still the best and funiest mode they had, all the Galactic challenges were just terrible, the game mode was barely thought through, seeing a stormtrooper or phoenix member or any other poop faction or character hitting for 90k plus on 1 shot and knocking out a GL is ridiculous, the raids only got lazier, the overall territory battles were insane with the asking of a certain team and factions let alone the cost for each relic before even looking at GL requirements... Territory wars is just there lol. The 2 things that ultimately killed the game and my desire to play it is 1.) The constant feel to chase not just meta but to chase ANY new content whether its from a year ago or last month... You can't keep up with grinding new characters when getting one GL is a task in itself... trying to even get a Rey even with the pass is taking all your resources just for 3 characters that need relics... THEN grinding that SAME GEAR for Rey who needs like 400 of the kryotechs if im not mistaken.
2.) There is NO support for free to play players and no benefits to catch up without spending the price of an indie game... make changes for us to catch up and at least put up a average fight on other non GL teams... let alone obtain another GL without spending all my saved up resources to be bogged down by doing the 400 kryotechs for the next one and 200 kryotechs for each new character required... my example to make a change is Marvel Strikeforce, i haven't played the game in probably 2 years, i go back to it and I have been catching up on so much in a quick time, i have most of the legendaries at 4star or more, the ability to get any of them to gear 13 or 14 is very quick, you can get all the pieces easily to push you up the only draw back is profile level and gold are your crippling factors. They at least tried to help someone like me out. Im even approaching Ultrons unlock. Yet i struggle just for Rey who i wouldn't be able to effectively use without getting my 400 kryotechs with like 2 or 3 a day if im lucky and if i play each day, oh and her 6 zeta limits which where am i going to get 120 zetas? Don't we only get like 2 a day from sims or 2 every couple of days? Its just bad and they do nothing about it.

For years we asked for help and they just ignore us and make worse game modes and more steep asking prices to keep up. They have failed us like Obi Wan with Anakin. I hope all of you still enjoy the game to the fulliest, I for one feel like Ashoka and lost my faith in the game like she did with the Jedi Order.

I've been warning people this was exactly where the game was headed ever since they introduced galactic legends, I've been refreshing my 1 star review at least once a month this entire year

Every single person in my guild, 100% hates this obvious money grab by CG. Many are contemplating dropping the game entirely including myself.

This game is dead IMO. Played it from the start, 13m GP, and quit a few months back. Nothing feels better than not having to worry about login in to do dailies, worry about being fleeced for micro-transactions, or grind through pointless events just because they want to keep you in game for as long as possible. I've started a new business, am more present with my family, and sleep better without the pressure of trying to stay up with the meta. I resent the time and money I put into this game and will never play another EA/CG game again.

And that is exactly why I quit about 5 yrs ago, and retired a whale account. The problem with SWGOH is that you are either a kraken, or you are doomed. RSL has a lot of issues and I do believe that plarium is the greediest of them all, but you can enjoy the game with access to almost everything as a f2p, a low spender all the way to an ultra kraken.

Glad I quit this game YEARS ago. They were asshats then, and it seems that CG are still asshats.

I’m a F2P player and this game is getting worse and worse. Episode quest is not free. One of the quest is to do feats. I wasn’t able to do a single galactic challenge. It’s no longer enjoyable.

I do atleast buy the conquest pass + cuz I atleast like it for getting the double progress for conquest characters got malgus for it recently but I'm not spend money on 2 passes why a new pass and I feel like it's overpriced as hell and challenges locked behind a pay wall if that is not pay to win I don't know what is
