UPDATE FOR WH3!!!
ОтветитьI know this is an old video, but does anyone know why I don't have the terrorgheist uniy or strigoi lord available even though I have all the warhammer 1 and 2 dlc's??
Ответитьi am always a bit shaken how english pronounve kemmler sounding like himmler... WRONG EVIL LORD! XD
ОтветитьThis might be old, I don't think it's would work for Warhammer 3 since those spear skeleton is no longer free upkeep.
ОтветитьHexwraith, Vargheist should be at least A tier
ОтветитьI won against the dwarfs with a Varghulf doomstack.
ОтветитьI love letting my AI control my zombie or Skeleton armies, and just focus on my hard hitters. Makes a fight much less draining, and super fun.
Ответитьthis was very helpful, thank u
ОтветитьPossible to make a new tier list on the counts?
I feel that with recent updates, this list, when it comes to infantry, is a bit outdated?
why nobody mentioned how he named the red duke the red dunce? Had me giggling
ОтветитьGravegaurd seem to perform really well in auto-resolve, especially against Dwarves. Which isn't normally important except that the reason not to auto-resolve is because it penalises you with high casualties. However, because of their high unit replenishment the loss of lots of models isn't a big deal unless you're getting attacked the next turn as well; plus the high casualties actually provides a lord trait to get up to an additional 20%hp. So auto-resolving isn't horrible. If i've just recruited a new army and the lord isn't being recruited in at a high enough level to have its magic in a viable state I usually have 4-5 GG to give the army that push for added anti-infantry potential until the lord or hero can cast more than 2 Wind of Death in a single battle. It's not so much that i disagree with this list or the way that it was created (IE around cost effectiveness), but one thing that wasn't really mentioned was how these armies can perform really well since the lords and hero's were trait farmed from the recruit menu to have specifically magic boosting traits, which is what off sets the lack of damage from the skellies.
ОтветитьI am now confused in deciding whether vampire counts are the true swarm factions or the skaven are lol.
Ответитьi don't aggre witht your grave guard take even with the supply lines you can still afford quiet a big number of them, for me they are S tier but i understand we have different playstyles and i'm a quality over quantity type player, when i do skeleton spam i either have 1 or 2 quality armies or i have small numbers of grave guard throughout the armies trust me they can really be helpful and make more than enough upp for there cost even with supply lines and they can outlast most other infantry units in the game. if you play manfred they only cost around 168 or 178 in upkeep which is cheap for a tier 3 unit. you did the grave guard dirty here.
ОтветитьOne of my favorite starts to a VC campaing was when I somehow stole an Errantry Banner (I think) and gave it to some dire wolves. +25 charge bonus turned them into super fast, light shock cav that caused fear. Archers just melted on contact, it was super funny to watch. Probably wouldnt have been as good against dark elves or something though.
ОтветитьIs this still fairly accurate in warhammer 3?
ОтветитьI don’t like all the management with many armies, thus I hire only legendary lords and play only with them(though there’s few exceptions), usually there isn’t so many of them so I don’t really care about upkeep, and playing on normal battle difficulty still feels quite challenging. So the point of cost/effectiveness isn’t really for me
ОтветитьVampire Counts could be more interesting if skellies just weren't completely free of upkeep.
There is a difference with something being "cheap" and something being "free", and them being free just throws their whole roster upside down. Skellies should have some cost, and to compensate some other units should get a bit lowered cost. They have a small roster, but an interesting one, that would be nice to mix and match more then just spam spoopy bois.
So this does not work for warhammer 3 :(
ОтветитьWhen I was messing around with 4v4 custom battles against black orcs, the grave guards with great weapons were actually one of the few who beat the black orcs with minimal support from my lord.
ОтветитьI love the hero naming "DISCIPLINED" for the undead army that really drive home the fact that leadeship is a must. :DDD
ОтветитьThis need an update after the vampire counts rework
ОтветитьThe black coach is a hard counter for dwarves. I defeated in early game 31 units of dwarves by wasting their ammo on my general, then charging their depleted range units with my black coach to reach the 90 kills, and then cycle charging all but their anti large infantry, fully destroying 24 units without even reaching the healing cap. The rest of the army had 7 units to deal with, and triggered army losses almost instantly.
It also is goddamn effective against other vampire counts, if you can remove their cavalry.
The perk for the upkeep of skeleton spearmen is not there anymore
ОтветитьGoing to need a rework of this ranking, considering how much Immortal Empires made it easier to get some of these without having to bother with tier 5 settlement rushes.
ОтветитьWonder if the zombies go to s-tier for the zombie doomstack with Helman Ghorst 🤣
ОтветитьSo basically this is a ranking on what to use for a campaign. Not actually ranking in a battle. Because you have a lot even you stated work backwards. But thank you for at least stating that.
ОтветитьHello! Did this change for Warhammer 3? What would you use with Vlad?
ОтветитьMan... i'm really not good at this game... So far, in almost every list, you put my favorite units into the trash tier. AM SAD.
ОтветитьSadly outdated... no free units anymore, meaning at least all infantry advise is worthless for now
ОтветитьThis list needs a redo with the changes
ОтветитьIt would be interesting to see a WH3 version of this.
Ghorst's zombies would be S++++++
I can tolerate to tell something in other list ranking video but this one is very funny, ridiculous. Viewers need to know vc was changed recently but you would find how this list is ridiculous if you play wh2 vc. Conclusion of the list he is not talking is that “regen + spear spam with those funny stacks are the answer” but its not actually. Its very noobish analysis. He is saying “doomstack” strategy in other videos too. But you know, you can beat anything if you have 20 engines 20 blood knights 20 Flying T etc. How about 20 star dragons for HE? Is it really total war for you? No I think he is talking about something like hack and slash game.
ОтветитьTrash list
ОтветитьI had a Chaos Army with only Chosen. Expensive? No. Cost 0 of upkeep. I had 900k favour (gold) so I could afford anything anyway. But just like the VC here, most armies were just lots and lots of free upkeep units and VC is a skeli spam for the same reason. Chaos is stronger imo, but I will try armies like the one shown here.
ОтветитьGlad they removed the Skelly spam in TW3. It did feel a little cheesy
ОтветитьDoes this apply accordingly to TWWH3? Are there significant changes?
Ответитьplaying optimally seems boring beyond belief
Ответитьbasically 1 tech completely ruins the tier list simply because of the cost in high difficulty settings.
ОтветитьRevisit this now after WH3?
ОтветитьIs this pretty much unchanged in Warhammer 3?
ОтветитьThats why I play on Hard battle diff instead of VH - just way more viable options in terms of army composition and tactics.
VH just seems like abusing cheese strats and dumb AI.
Eh, I just always load up Isabella with Tough trait Vampire lords, and make sure to sack and kill as often as possible to get +ward gear. It takes a while but those with the speed boost, and the trait to add to attack stack. Been awhile since i played but I seem to remember VC get buildings and tech that reduce the cost of Vampire Lords, and Necromancers could be free with the Kelmer dude. You can end up with tons of magic in your pool, and just cycle the magic recharge button. I also seem to recall the Mortis Carts could hit Multiple mobs at one time on top of their AOE, the large land based bat things attack significantly faster then other mobs.
ОтветитьFunny how differently people play this game. Love it!
This reflects on the tier placements! Could include a whole lot of units from this list but will only mention one: Fell Bats. They should be B or maybe A tier. Working as wingmen for Vargheists they work supremely well!
Vargheists in Isabella's army are S tier. They basically kill all archers/siege equipment and then demolish any units from behind so quickly it almost seems like cheating.
ОтветитьI swear Vampires are the Oda's of Total War, in both cases your enemies recruit 100 good units who can take out anything while you recruit 1000 easy ressurecting skeletons who flood the battlefield
ОтветитьWill you do a tier list for other Total war games?
ОтветитьI pretty much agree , except for terroghistes and varghulfs, they both do no significant damage , they both lose to pretty much every high tier melee infantry especially on higher difficulties ,terroghistes also have usless breath attacks , the only way you could use a varghulf well is by micro, that might work early game but late game everything is so messy and happens too fast, as for terroghistes or however they are spellt i have no hope for them i have tried them a lot and they always manage to dissapoint, for their low area of attacks and their low mass
ОтветитьSkelly & Mortis Blobs really wreck stuff
ОтветитьI absolutely adore Vargheists. I've beaten multiple fullstacks with just a handfull of these in in my army and a lord hidden in the trees to heal them. If microed well, they absolutely smash things. Very tedious though. But fun.
ОтветитьSo you’re ranking them based on how much it can be exploited
Ответить
