My father, who passed 5 years ago, went to high school with Bobby. I remember Dad telling me that Bobby told him that he wanted to be a singer and Dad encouraged it. Dad went to Vietnam.

ОтветитьA wonderful work. 43 years ago I heard a cover of this melody by Engelbert Humperdinck. With this recording I danced my first dance with my future wife, whom I am still with today. The tear spun.
Maybe someone has this song performed by Engelbert Humperdinck. The album was released in Poland in 1976
My favorite song ❤

I sure my beloved 'Linda' was somehow able to send 'Nana' into my life to share my remaining time on Earth. ❤
As kids, my dad would play this song in the car as we drove home from school. I fondly remember him and those car rides each every time I listen to this song.
ОтветитьI'm new to this song unfortunately. It's such a beautiful song. Once I really listened to it I nearly cried..lol.sad at the end.
ОтветитьI have a favorite wild doe that I feed in the fall and winter. I named her Honey. She came last spring with her two fawns. I never try to get close to her or hand feed her. Never! Wild must remain wild. But I softly talk to her as I drop the birdseed and apples on the ground. Then I walk slowly back to the house. I love her so much. 🌲🌲🦌🦌🍁🍁🌲🌲🍂🍂🦌🦌☺️☺️🌳🌳
ОтветитьWhat dreck. How can anyone like such a morbid song? Writing and singing about a death to make money. Hard pass.
ОтветитьDedicated to my former classmate Eufresina B Castor

ОтветитьWritten by Vicki Lawrences Ex-Husband Bobby Russell.
ОтветитьI just finished Hello Walls by Front Young when I decided on the song when the hospital said my wife could not live with me because she was too much of a fall down risk. I asked the staff to listen to this song because that is what she meant to me, Please watch over her and take care of her. She was no longer unde
r my loving care. I hated visiting her in a nursing home because I loved her and would do a much better job.
Beautiful song that needs any voice. Goldsboro does not sing because this song is a recitative. There are so many beautiful songs without singing, such as Honey, Venus with Frankie Avalon and Pretty blue eyes with Steve Lawrence. Greetings,
ОтветитьAn absolute beautiful song. Truly beautiful

ОтветитьPentru români recomand cover-ul lui Dan Tufaru (Vine o vreme).
ОтветитьSad song❤
ОтветитьMy mom died two months before this song came out in 1968...when I heard it I thought he's singing about mom. Dad heard the song too and commented on it to me and also bought me the 45 record. My brother and I played the song 17 months later at dad's funeral. In 2007 driving my brothers ashes to Tombstone AZ, while traveling through Texas late one night, with my brothers ashes in the back set AND without searching for 'any' channel on the radio, oldies or otherwise, I turned on the radio and Bobby Goldsboro was singing Honey....it was truly a God Moment....and now that 45rpm record is number 174 on my jukebox.

ОтветитьA song sung by a true eternal angel now part of a heavenly choir 😇🪽🎶🌻
ОтветитьIt's so moving!
ОтветитьTrista Doke.....I love you........
