My Wife of 43 years died from chronic kidney disease in 2013. I recall so many happy memories as I hear this classic song.
I'm 79 years,old now and happily remarried to a remarkable, beautiful, woman of character.
I sure my beloved 'Linda' was somehow able to send 'Nana' into my life to share my remaining time on Earth. ❤

As kids, my dad would play this song in the car as we drove home from school. I fondly remember him and those car rides each every time I listen to this song.

I have a favorite wild doe that I feed in the fall and winter. I named her Honey. She came last spring with her two fawns. I never try to get close to her or hand feed her. Never! My mom died two months before this song came out in 1968...when I heard it I thought he's singing about mom. Dad heard the song too and commented on it to me and also bought me the 45 record. My brother and I played the song 17 months later at dad's funeral. In 2007 driving my brothers ashes to Tombstone AZ, while traveling through Texas late one night, with my brothers ashes in the back set AND without searching for 'any' channel on the radio, oldies or otherwise, I turned on the radio and Bobby Goldsboro was singing Honey....it was truly a God Moment....and now that 45rpm record is number 174 on my jukebox.
