I grew up in Nashville very near Bobby Goldsboro lived. My friends and I used to ride our horses by his house as we rode to a nearby training center. We would ride our horses onto his property and try to peek in his windows,...I know that's awful, but we were kids and Goldsboro was never home anyway.

My passed away at the end of July 2024 after 51 years. I called her honey bunch most of the time. And I miss her.

Me and my wife have been together for 50!years and I still love her this much more than I do but do I care ❤❤❤❤

Probably the saddest song I've ever heard. I was DJing at a wedding and an older chap came up to me and asked if I could play this song. He told me his story - it was his favourite song because he used to call his wife "honey" and she died on the day this song was released. I couldn't contain myself and started to cry (I found it so sad) but he told me not to be upset, he loved the song and would love to hear it that night. It reminded him of her and he was never upset when he heard it. Needless to say I played the song and cried again but he sat there with a smile on his face and thanked me. So many memories from 40 years of DJing but I'll never forget that night.
