I used one note for my first semester. But I struggled to study with it. I love digital note taking but when it comes to studying, it’s a little bit of a struggle for me. How did you find studying with one note. I found printing off my notes was great but I believe it’s extremely hard to print off notes on one note
Ответить*Going over material Repeatedly and Consistently is v important
- Review Lecture Notes
--> Collect important formulas and add to a general self-made formula sheet
Revision doesn't begin before exams..you do it from week 1.
Emphasis on Tutorial Questions (Stuff teachers go over)
1) Capture - capture, record everything from board. If possible, include teacher's verbal tips as they do it.
2) Comprehension - really understand the question process, go back and try to do without looking at solution.
3) Consolidate - rewrite question answer in really detailed steps, add additional supplementary relevant info (graphs, steps, etc.)
Do big assignments early/start early to prevent a potential overloaded/burnout week. Look ahead for project filled or exam filled weeks.
Organize your notes
- keep it all in one place
- similar structure
- why? self-explanatory easier to reference and actually use.
- his system was going down vertically for notes, and horizontally across adding questions of same type on One Note. You can also name pages in one-note.
If you don't understand a concept, jump around, and look for external resources that may make more sense (articles, yt, etc.)
- dig around
- be willing to put urself out there
- office hours, contact professor if you need to, see if you can set up a call, in-person office hours, etc.
- see if a friend can explain it to you.
Long run, important to keep in mind that knowledge builds upon each other, so building strong foundations is very important.
I will use this advice and you help me in my project 🙏🌸
ОтветитьBe my mentor please 😢
ОтветитьGreat video ❤
Ответитьeverytime i try to understand a problem solving question by asking my teachers and after a while of not getting it I start to feel stupid so I end up not understanding the material
ОтветитьTHANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS! I really don't know anyone with healthy study habits, and I've been feeling lost lately, but your videos were so helpful, They made me feel understood and really helped me a lot to have a healthy relationship with studying! I am grateful for your channel!
ОтветитьAre you using the nvidia eye contact? Cause it looks like you’re staring into my soul
Ответитьcool video, thanks for the advice. I don't know if OneNote has improved but I was very disappointed. Several time my work would disappear. There was a convoluted way of recovering it sometimes but it only takes one or twice when hours of work is lost to lose all confidence in the tool. It wasn't even a question of saving regularly, it was infuriatingly arbitrary
ОтветитьI'm starting a level 3 BTech engineering course in September. Barely made it on to this course because I didnt take my studies seriously. Gonna stop letting myself down and be on top of things and aim for the highest grade.
Ответитьim going into my first semester this is so much helpful
great work😺
you must e very smart
ОтветитьThanks, I'm an upcoming bioengineering student 🙌
ОтветитьGood on you Ben! Honestly such a useful, well made video, especially because I’m studying Civil at Griffith. Currently in 3rd year, working at a geotech company. Got flashbacks when I saw those Mech of Material notes 😂 I was so surprised to see this pop up (I was searching for some Sunday morn study motivation) - this is Nat Hughes from high school, we had a few classes together. Anyway, thanks for the vid and keep up it up!
ОтветитьI really enjoyed it such a wonderful informative creative video thank you so much for uploading wonderful video ☺️☺️☺️
ОтветитьYou ever fell behind in your courses, managed to catch up and got good grades? I am currently 2 chapters behind my circuit class and the stress is not letting me study effectively🥲
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьYour videos are very helpful! Keep going sir❤
ОтветитьHi I'm a civil engineer i like this I'm a first year thanks
ОтветитьThanks man. Im in my 2nd year rn and i want to improve my study habit. Do you make any notes or do you just add extra information in the lecture slides? The lecture slides sometimes can be really long so i usually make my own notes where i compressed everything from the lecture slides all into a couple of pages. But it does takes a long time to do plus sometimes i dont even understand what im writing down. So it takes more time for me to revise it. And over the semester, it does kinda feel like im unnecessary putting too much time doing this. But i do prefer if all the notes are compressed. Can i have your thoughts on this?
ОтветитьOh man thank you, I've been looking for videos like that for engineers, but I just couldn't find any, now you here thank youuuu 🫶🧚♀️🌷🌷🌷
ОтветитьCool video, it helped me a bit, I feel like I'm kinda stuck in one place without moving forward.
ОтветитьThanks for the useful video. I did the first semester of BETech in mechanical last year and had some ill health so had to leave, later this month I will be returning to do BeHons in mechanical starting from fresh again and am trying to optimise my notetaking and study time.
ОтветитьGreat video bro, you deserve more subscribers
Ответитьi am from Bangladesh.
i am in civill Engineering study🌺
awesome Video! Honestly half of the battle is figuring out which equation to use~ lol. Couple of things I might say, Repetition and working though problems after one semester become too much of a hassel in retentition. Spacing out (Skipping a day between) studing helps a lot in retention. As well as taking notes CONSEPTUALLY will be always better than Linear notes. I use Obisidian to help me link consepts in depth to have a really strong foundation of how to apply things. Maybe have a look at Obisidian as a way to take notes!
ОтветитьGreat video! thanks !
