We have found since we don't order from Amazon as much as we used to that Prime Video is the primary benefit that keeps us renewing each year. I purchased $45 worth of items on Sunday. When I went to check out, they pushed Prime on me as usual. I said No Thanks, but had a hard time getting off that page. Then there was no free option, even though I was willing to wait. They eventually charged me $3 for shipping, which was ok because Walmart charges more for the items I purchased. I have cable tv and no need for movies, music or video games. I am getting tired of having Prime pushed on me, but I’m not buying it no matter what. I’ll quit Amazon first.
Btw, my items from my Sunday order are coming five days early.

The Amazon prime day adds won't leave me alone

Prime music got worse. I used to have playlists for most songs. I could buy ones not included. Now they want $8.99 or they randomly play songs somewhat in the same genre. I refuse to pay to get back what I had.

Do you know the only thing about Amazon prime videos they need to add new content or they need to pick up some of the really old movies that we all loved I need to do something because I’ve watched pretty much everything Amazon had that I was interested in a while back who doesn’t like John Wayne movies McLintock bunch of others I mean if you want to laugh in these times we need some good old fashion comedies

For over 10 years I paid for Amazon Prime but I finally quit spending the outrageous $139 a year membership fee this past year. I find that waiting until I have $25 or more in an order to still get free shipping and waiting a few extra days to get stuff has been no big inconvenience. This month I am still getting a subscribe and save order because I still pay for a UPS box so I can use Amazon for big stuff but I am thinking of switching to using the free Amazon Lockers that only accept most small packages (and no subscribe and save). Many online retailers allow free pickup at their stores so I could still get big stuff, just not thru Amazon.

You should make a clip showing Amazon Prime Benefits for international users (non US)

Amazon is cutting back on packaging. Pull tab paper or plastic bags. I hardly ever saw a box. And never mind the 2 day shipping. They kept delaying a lot of my shipments. Amazon raised everyones membership fee but they cut back on shipping materials. Bags instead of boxes.

well kindle just changed and I had to sign up for yearly instead of monthly charges for this service

The new $179 price may not be worth it to me because I am supposed to get two day shipping and a lot of time I don't . USPS and Fed Ex are horrible about delays so why should I pay a higher price when they use those shipping services. They used to us UPS a lot and had no issue because UPS is generally on time. Mine comes due end of year so may not renew it.

Amazon Prime video is a nightmare. Horrible format imo. They don't tell you straight up what your paying for. They also try to sell you movies and tv episodes. Or you can rent them. What are we paying for then?

Prime gaming is fantastic with all the free games and content! Make sure to be aware that the Luna games they advertise are only available to play until a certain date and after that require you to pay for Luna to play them further.

Brett thanks for the info. 1 year of Grubhub+ free got me excited; until I realized the driver "tip" is mandatory, as is the Service Fee. Don't get me wrong, I usually tip delivery drivers anyway. But taking away my choice is just BullSh!t

In Netherlands, it's freaking EUR 2.99. It's pretty usable with a VPN, just don't abuse it

The 100 million songs are only available if you buy the Amazon Music Unlimited plan (separate from the Prime subscription). Normal Prime users only get 3 million songs…in sub-par quality - I know because I experienced that directly when I got Amazon Prime.

It'd be nice to get the 2 day shipping like you're supposed.

Most of the Prime features seem to be open to Prime Subscribers in the US market and are not available in India. :-). Next time when you are making such programs, you better inform your viewers that, "some of the features / benefits may not be available in your geographical area / markets." :-)

Don't use Amazon Monthly payments via any of their cards. 1st they charge you the full amount. 2nd they charge you the monthly payment. You have 12 months to pay off the entire amount. The last charge is the last to be paid off. Say you had $1000 on your card. then you buy a $500 item on monthly. They charge your card the full $500 , and the 1st monthly payment. You pay interest on the full amount of your card. As you pay on your card the previous $1000 is removed 1st before they start to take from your $500 purchase. If you don't pay off that $500 charge [ + the monthly payments ] within the 12 month you are charged another full years interest on the $500 . We only need mention that many unknown Fees are added to process your monthly charges adding to you card total and that is taken directly from the payments before any is applied to the card . This information comes directly from Amazon Billing dept .

Brett, I've had Prime benefits off and on. You've probably made me a lifelong member now.
I've added 3 or 4 I didn't know I had access to.

I don't stay enrolled in Prime, but come and go. I might feel differently if they didn't leverage my Prime membership so heavily as a minefield for additional revenue via offers that I get hammered with while using my "free" benefits.

Why the name change?

Many of these might be available to US Prime Members, but not to those overseas who have to pay extra. I'm afraid most of us outside the US will be disappointed. For example, Amazon music is 3 months free, then £8.99 a month.

I'm a Prime member and didn't know about some of the free benefits mentioned in your excellent vid. Thanks for posting! You may have also mentioned that there are discounts to the Prime membership based on economic status.
