Having most of the roads be a place where you cant even drive at speeds above 30mph, having a superior drivetrain is only ostentatious and not practically utilitarian…aiming for comfort is hence a priority! Citroen is the way to go as it is the king of comfort. I own C5 aircross and it is magic incarnate! Love it every time I drive it!
ОтветитьAs a guy with chronic pain, I wish this was available in Canada. Right now, the best thing I could find was a Buick Envision Avenir I might end up buying in 2024. I want a sedan, but thanks to Zoomers, they're becoming less of an option. Even my old car, the Chrysler 300C, now looks like a sports car on the inside. I don't care how fun a car is to drive if I'm popping Tylenol and Advil every day and trying to avoid (legal) medicinal cannabis because I have to drive. It's bad enough that cars haven't had comfortable velour interiors for 30 years, but now every car has racing seats and stiff suspension. "I can't feel the road!" Well, I can feel everything. These kids need to stop ruining it for everyone else.

ОтветитьI'm a Citroen fan, I'm into cars and I've always had a Citroen. Regarding the newly presented C5, I would like to mention that it is inferior to the previous model in the following items : Suspentions , CrashTest/E-NCAP and Design. Sorry but Citroen in the past has created many legends. Today under the boot of Peugeot, it no longer produces legends.

ОтветитьA c5 from 2008 to 2014 is still more comfortable, looks better, is more fuel efficient and it does not has an unnecessary high ride height
ОтветитьDrove this car last week. Without a doubt the most comfortable and luxurious Citroen I've ever driven. The 1.6 hybrid was the nicer of the three I tried, also even the entry level Sense plus was very impressive.

ОтветитьI like it when testers take the time to discuss the seats. Many do not. They may mention dimensions, but rarely the seats actual comfort nd feel. Seats, to me are paramount. Where do you spend your time when you drive a car ??

ОтветитьIt's a tall estate or an SUV. Simple as. There is nothing saloon like to it or about it at all. A saloon has a separate boot to the rest of the car. This does not. It's not a bad car. If Citroen advertise it right and at the right people maybe it will be a success.
ОтветитьI love Citroens but this car didn't appeal to me at first as I thought it is ugly in my opinion, BUT after watching this video. It has grown on me!! I did think the previous C5 was much better looking, but this makes that look dull in comparison!! The true beauty of the new C4 and C5 X can only be appreciated in the flesh, like when I saw one on the A40 in West London, makes other cars blend in. Well done to Citroen for making it comfy thou. My 14 year old Citroen C4 Coupe is pretty comfy for a standard car with normal suspension so I don't doubt the comfort in this one. Good job.
ОтветитьUltimate comfort, sure, but based on my experience with a 2017 C4 Picasso, you'll be enjoying a lot of it sitting by the roadside waiting for a tow.

ОтветитьI have owned a couple of Citroën in the past, albeit second hand and found annoying problems with the electrics. Air-con kept failing every few months which was easily fixed with a replacement resistor but at £45 a go it was annoying.
I think they are one of those cars that are better to buy new or nearly new and still under warranty. They are well equipped , comfortable and nice to look at . Personally, I have a fondness for Citroen but just wish I could trust them a bit more.

ОтветитьThe C5 when it first came out in 2001 it was a big car with hydropneumatic suspension and it was and still is a really comfy car, I own a C5 from 2005, a very lovely car
ОтветитьMy 2008 C5 diesel automatic saloon exclusive was quite comfy and quiet but it was a money pit.
Always needing suspension parts at huge expense and then after 100,000 miles the steering rack died. Scrapped it for a KIA.

ОтветитьI have to say this car looks really good and I’m pretty sure it will be very good. Nonetheless I wouldn’t buy it as I’m to biased. (I’m not against French cars, I’m more of a Renault guy tbh) Even though I wouldn’t buy it, I’m still looking forward to seeing it on the road. I think you won’t see it that often (sadly)

ОтветитьMy E-class estate is 10 years old...already has 'magic handles' in the boot to drop the rear seats, and has a load cover that powers up out of the way when the boot opens. And huge storage space under the boot floor. Nothing new here. However, once Citroen start selling these for peanuts to get the numbers up, it looks like a great car.
