I love how every single content creator says that the show is bad and that it is heading for a disaster yet somehow the show eg games have a lot bigger positive feedback than a negative one.

I think in the end, even the people that hated some of the choices in the second game, will still expect a faithful adaptation. When push come to shove, even their hate of the second game, comes from a love of the first game. And while they may not LIKE the choices that were made for the second story in game...what's been done has been done. Trying to improve on it would just admit that those choices were wrong, and risk making even worse choices.

They absolutely destroyed this franchise and I personally act as if the first game and only the first game is all that exists as far as Last of Us goes.

As long as they don’t make Abby too strong/dominant, but a smart/well trained survivor (strong for an average girl, basically fit) it could be ok. Joel shouldn’t be hated, the fireflies handled the situation wrong once they received Ellie.

I think they should END the season with the golf scene.. I know they wont but it would be really cool to start the season with abby.

On the point of him not explaining himself. He actually did. The last scene of the game (takes place at the start) Joel says he would do what he did all over again if given the chance. He truly doesn't care what people think. He loves Ellie and will do anything for her.

Genuinely I still don’t see how Joel made the right choice at the end. All these takes about the Flyflies being incompetent are just assumptions. While I’d rather not Ellie die saving the world is always the right decision. The ending of TLOU 1 actually ruined it for me. The Ls in the series started there for me. It’s also crazy people are saying Druckman is retconning that part. It’s obvious that this was meant to a morally dubious decision. The trailer for the game even mentions giving up your morals to survive. It’s a theme.

"Abby couldnt get a body like that because she lives in an apocalyptic world with little food" yet when you take over as her she wakes up in her outpost which is a former sports stadium turned into a city, where you are walked through areas that have livestock, crops and you play through the scene where she literally picks up a hand made burrito for breakfast in a huge caffeteria. Im guessing lack of food isnt an issue here, secondly, its a fucking sports stadium, im sure there is a more than adequate gym in there to work out in. The answers were staring everyone in the face but they were too blinded by hate because big daddy joel was killed. Wah wah!

I thought season 1 was meh. But I wasn't planning on watching season 2 given the source. Never got a chance to play LoU1, but know the game plot pretty well through tons and tons of twitch playthroughs, and Joel is just the whole reason I watched.

I'm not going to bash Naughty Dog for taking the game where they did. Its their game. But I don't agree with the directions the sequel took and I haven't tuned in to playthroughs to watch Joel get done dirty that way. And the panel is right, the messaging is crazy considering how in many games, if not most, your PC mass murders his way through every single objective, including probably LoU2. And this applies to broader media in general. How many movies are there where you have a father, mother, spouse, etc going absolutely Arnold Schwarzenegger on bands of people trying to save their loved ones. Its nigh impossible to feel immoral about that given this saturation.

Abby would have worked as a straight up villainess because... she's a horrible person on every level! Not only did she commit the unforgivable crime of murdering Joel but she's screwing her pregnant friend's boyfriend and ends up murdering her own friends just to save two total strangers whom repeatedly put themselves in danger.
