I’m truly grateful that Michelle was willing to stand up against the “guidelines”, even if it meant losing her career. We need more bravery like this! Courtney, thank you for creating an online community for support and education. We will always support you, no matter what the Beths of the world say!

It takes a lot of work and time to find the truth and you have commit to finding it and testing yourself not just taking someone's words. I went on Carnivore to do a clinical trial on myself for one year. Now I know the truth...

The other thing I see often is "fed is best!". Yeah, you can't let your kids die of starvation, but it's NOT ok for a 4th grader to be 50-100 lbs overweight! If you're feeding Nutella and marshmallow cream sandwiches for every breakfast, except Saturdays when you splurge and cook pancakes with syrup, large bags of chips for snacks, fast food on the daily with large sodas or sweet tea, ramen, pizza with no meat, fench fries, Debbie snacks, ice cream, etc., at what point does it become downright abu$e??

The idea that there are no bad foods would be ok, if all foods were actually food! The stuff around us has been modified, ultraprocessed, and is not proper human food! It's making us sick and fat. And ragey, apparently. People need to hear the truth, not be coddled into believing that their cravings for eating "moderate" amounts of these fake food products is a-ok! Great video, you guys!

Apparently ‘derangement’ syndrome has crossed over to healthy eating lifestyles? My goodness! I’m so sorry you are dealing with this! My sugar cravings stopped in just a couple of days on Carnivore. I was not however losing weight after two months with no cheating. I need to lose weight. I tried doing 20/4 fasting and lost 14 lbs in two months eating whatever I planned for that day without any food restrictions. However this plan is a bit more difficult because my sugar cravings are there. I battle this each day. All foods clearly do not fit. I will still follow a combination of both fasting and carnivore program. Maybe I’m a Fastivore! I enjoy both and actually miss the Carnivore program. Courtney I think you may have caused an addiction in my life to Carnivore Crispies! 😂 Your video’s are great and I will most definitely buy your upcoming cookbook! Thank you both for this video. God Bless!

As someone in anorexia recovery who needs to weight restore this is amazing. Most dietician don't listen to me when I say, I just want to eat a full meal without feeling sick. I need to build up what I can handle. But I'm thrown into 5k immediately and foods I don't like are dismissed as "a behavior ". I don't like sweets alot but needed ro have them to "prove recovery". I understand trying to demonize food as this piece of cake will make me fat. Of course that shouldbe worked on, but with BED someone people can't. And with the HAES movement, now people can't say anything with being labeled as fatphobic. Do you see Abbey Sharp rating what I eat in day on adult Disney women who have a series "if I can fit" in chairs? No. But she will betittle a young college girl who said antidepressants weren't working for but diet did.

Beth's reaction was fucking insane to me lol

All the processed foods are owned by the cigarette companies. Back in the 50's, 60's, 70's cigarette companies told us they were not harmful, they actually knew they were harmful. This is how processed foods have been created to replace cigarettes. If anyone thinks an alcoholic can have 1 drink they are disillusioned and think that about food... I am obese and in my 60's, I quit smoking 20 years ago. Quitting smoking was easy compared to "moderating food". I don't need cigarettes to live. We need food to live. I love being a carnivore. I broke my sugar and processed food addictions.

Her language is so foul. Sugar addiction is too real. I have a diabetic child and we’ve been called dangerous because we don’t let her have high carb foods. “It’ll give her disordered eating,” they say. Uh No, we’re teaching her what foods nourish her body, and ours, and what foods damage her.

Yes I was severely depressed to close to suicide during my 20’s to mid 30’s of bulimia. Years later carnivore has now relieved me of even worrying about food and cravings are gone.

Agenda 2030 have been influencing CEO’s of food companies for years to help propel people into heavy metals, sugar addicted and weak and slave mentality. The chemicals in foods are lowering Testosterone and raising estrogen in boys to make them weak and stand down.

I don’t understand why she’s so aggressive, it’s like she’s taking it personally. You didn’t even say that no one can moderate, just that some people are abstainers. Whereas she’s saying no one can be an abstainer without being disordered. It’s so judgmental.

Putting everything in a mental "safe space" seems to be on trend these past several years, & w/dire consequence on many levels. A brief look around at the fallout in our education system, military & political ranks, medical, social service programs, etc is plenty evident. It doesn't work, & it's stupid. It's also avoidance & keeps people supporting big biz/big pharma by keeping them tied to the so-called cures, ie "connected for life", as Michelle mentioned. Flying off the handle in defensive, trash mode is further evidence ~ because that's easier than addressing the root cause of the issue, which is narrow minded & lazy, imho AND my own experience. I've been plenty lazy & stupid in my time.
Fact is, we do have data, we do have both anecdotal & scientifically proven studies (both short & long term) which clearly show the correlation~ except it's dismissed, trashed, &/or buried by those who profit from our ignorance.
Lumping physical, metabolic disorder/dis-ease in with mental health only is missing the forest for the trees, so to speak. The mental health fallout is a symptom of poor metabolic health, we know this now. We also know that we can do better, w/or w/out the standard medical profession by our sides~ though they are clearly coming around, going rogue & getting shit done, period. We don't need corporate approval to make personal changes which lead to change en masse, eventually, & historically speaking.
Thanks for the conversation Courtney & Michelle. Yet another example of clear, intelligent thinking from living examples of proper nutrition..imagine THAT en masse, wow.

I’m not carnivore. HOWEVER, the data supports the assertion that your food environment is a huge factor in your ability to “moderate”. I maintain a healthy weight via tracking macros (I use the Carbon app). This allows me to have what I want within the bounds of my daily allotment. Even Layne Norton speaks often of the defining factor of success for weight loss: cognitive restraint. For me, carnivore resulted in weight gain. Ad libitum consumption of meat resulted in weight gain, because I LOVE meat…even plain chicken-I have no off switch! If I must invoke restraint, then I prefer to have a larger variety of foods.

My weakness is anything sweet/crunchy (granola is my downfall), so I do not keep those foods in my home. Does it mean I NEVER have granola? Nope. Just not at home.

I suggest this Beth person read the literature. A good place to start is “Hungry Brain” by Stephan Guyenet.

Ultimately, energy governs, but food quality also matters. What most people overlook is the impact of personal preference and psychology on the manifestation of restraint.

FWIW, I stay engaged with the keto/carnivore community because there is a general suspicion of “big food/pharma”. I share that suspicion. I do pick up tidbits here and there that I apply to my personal diet. (Iodine! Thanks Dr Berry!)

Okay, I’m done now. Looking forward to the conversation!

Just once, I'd like these dietitians and nutritionists DEFINE what they mean by moderation - they throw that word around like water, but never define or quantify it! Is one Oreo a day, moderation? Two a day? Five? One a week/ month/ year? From personal experience with my CGM, as little as 1/3 of an Oreo can spike my BG as high as 12-14 mmol/L (216-252 mg/dL), and take as much as 4 DAYS to return to baseline. So for me, Oreo moderation IS abstention. Same goes for other desserts, pastries, grains and other starchy carbs. So if my moderation amounts to abstention, does that mean I have a poor relationship with food? And since when are are you supposed to have a relationship with food? It's not a person; it's just fuel for your body!
