When I was coaching Division I College Basketball, was e had a saying:

“Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.”

In the business of music, it’s:

“Product beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard”

Your talent is meaningless.

It’s pointless.

It’s damn near worthless.

Do you have a work ethic?

Yea?

Prove it.

What’s your social media strategy and how’s that working?

What’s your Spotify/streaming strategy?

How often do you connect with your fans?

Do your fans know your tag line?

Do they know the name of your company?

What’s your sales?

If you can’t answer these questions, how can anybody else?

We aren’t perfect.

Everyone has to grow to get to this point.

Entrepreneurship is a nonstop growth process.

But it’s a process that requires a lot of hard work that a lot of people don’t want to give.

No one cares about your music.

Repeating...

NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR MUSIC

They care about your brand.
