ooooh, can't wait !!!
ОтветитьCan't wait to go to the event and buy the book, absolutely stoked! :D
ОтветитьIf a unified timeline game we get is an AOD sequel, they better hire Murti Schofield as lead writer. Same with any sequels in the resumed AOD storyline.
ОтветитьFantastic episode guys! Very excited for Derby this October!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
ОтветитьThis interview was awesome 🤩 so heart warming and positive! So much TR love!!! And so excited for the book! More content like this please 👀
ОтветитьI think the "they are not quite what we feel tomb raider could be" when talking about the 2 later games is because they are extravert games!
Shadow has it all to be a perfect tomb raider! Except 2 things: 1) a fun Lara, but that everyone has noticed already. 2) never being alone, never far from what become your community, your village, talking to everyone but no long term friendship (except the JonaH) VS the usual loneliness or high quality relationships only (except TR6 where you wouldn't befriend anyone anyway except the Kurtis). Shadow/Rise especially are all about being part of a big community while the older Tomb Raiders are all about travelling alone (or meeting/talking to long time friends).
So feeling at home (Shadow/Rise) VS feeling far away from home (all the others)
Great video as always! Very curious about the book
ОтветитьDaryl is the man. I remember a flat in Hendon and a sports bar... he'll remember. Excited to get my hands on the book!
ОтветитьExcellent interview! The part where Daryl reminisces about his favorite levels as a kid was so heartwarming haha
ОтветитьWow just wow! I bet it's going to stand as kind of a Bible to every TR fan! Great great video Chris! Just amazing Raidercast episode!
Any chance we can order the book signed?
Very good episode Chris!! 👍🏾😁👍🏾
ОтветитьMy favorite level in TR was the Cistern, I loved just swimming around everywhere
ОтветитьAwesome interview again Chris! Looking forward to your tribute video in a couple of days!
I hope Derby Quad goes well, though I'm not sure I'll be able to make it unfortunately.
And I'll definitely be looking out for Daryl's book. But don't suppose you know if he is planning on putting it on Audible or some other audio format? Love listening to podcasts (especially raidercasts) and books while coding and this book sounds perfect for that!
I completely forgot to watch this interview! :D Well, I did now, and it was really great to hear, the book sounds pretty amazing, I hope I'll get my hands on it somehow... Aw and about Vicky, it's both frustating and cool how she can't be contacted, the person who game Classic Lara a lot of her personality. Frustrating for obvious reasons, but also cool, because she's so mysterious, kind of like Lara herself...
ОтветитьHelen Mirren even sounds like Lara Croft!
I love his idea.
Pretty refreshing to hear an interview from someone who isn't an obnoxious Crystal Dynamics employee. I do like hearing about what went on in the old days because I wasn't around at the time to experience it myself. Imaging what would've happened if the likes of Toby Gard and Vicky Arnold had been the ones controlling the franchise instead of Ian Livingstone and the other Eidos money men.
