Best Screen Recording / Capturing Software for YouTube

Oh Man, you discussed screen recording tools that are very cool but very heavy on pockets. For us free screen recorders like ScreenRec do a great job. Please discuss them too.

Seems you only pick the most expensive software to promote, is that because you get bigger commission ???

WHY IS MY OBS VIDS SOOOOO LAGGYYYYY

I've used OBS with great success for posting tutorials online.

OBS uses up a lot of computers capacity and you can get encoding issues. Can anyone advise the best laptop to cope with OBS or do i need to by a super powerful pc? Or is it best to just go with cameras / camcorders?

I DL'd OBS and cannot figure it out. It asks me all sorts of questions; it wants accounts, links -- all sorts of unnecessary crap. I JUST want to record my screen! Does this do that? Where is the easy version?

All I want to do is add voice over to my video, and cant find a simple app to do that on Windows. WTH?
My Radeon software does the screen capture just fine, but I cant add my commentary afterward.
Yes, I can record commentary in Audacity as Im watching the video playback, but how do I merge them into one file??? So frustrating.

Hello may i ask you sth . i had screen recorded the imac screen (by camtasia2018) i choose the 1080hd and cutom 300kb/sec(for the smaller file) but the video is still larged (the video is 1hr but file was 1gb) ……………………… and i dont want to go down to 200kb/sec because the text on my screen cant be read (it will not hd 😢) .......
However when i used windows10 on another notebook the file is 200mb/hr ....
all of that i want toask you that
1. does it mean mac OS take more storage than windows when screen recording..??.
2. If answer in question1 is not ; does it has the other programs to record for small file on mac but the video is still hd .

I don't mean to correct you but OBS lags on my pc, and I don't have enough money for a new one but I'm not thinking its my pc doing it I think its because its not ment for Recording or streaming because its a study/work pc
