X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse (SNES) Playthrough - NintendoComplete

I like how Capcom is reusing some sound assets from Mega Man X for this game, it really gives those hefty robots weight.

The game is definitely a P.I.T.A. Graphics are great for the SNES. But it's more of a tease of what it could have been vs what the product is. It's definitely a solid shined up turd of a game. Glad I only paid $9.00 for it.

Say what you will, but this game was hard af. They make it look easy, but this game tortured me as a kid.

One of the many games that made me realize that failure is an option and to just give up. lol

There should have been a sequel to this game. Sega came out with X-Men 2 so why didnt the Super NES?

Psylocke's mission looks like one of the best, because it includes getting a good view of the island at night 🙂🙂🙂😁😁

Back when I was kid, seeing Sentinel burst through the elevator like that for the first time was one of the most amazing things ever in this game, that and seeing Brood Queen. Apocalypse's stage theme was and still is phenomenal. I used love playing this and War of Gems, my friends and would take turns playing and would sometimes designate who would play who. Great games and good times.

I will never understand why the character of Psylocke was in these X-Men games when Storm, Rogue and Jean Grey were the characters we were introduced to on TV and who were more popular.

You could copy paste mutant apocalypse music onto mega man x and it would fit like a glove

That's kind of a bummer. Guess I gotta beat it now.

I notice that this game was trying to be Mega Man X even down to the music.....

This game was fun. But for some reason, I actually enjoyed X-Men 2: Clone Wars on the Genesis a bit better.

If a character runs out of lives on their mission is it a complete "game over?"

I seem to recall a capcom xmen game with this exact art style and move set. And if, say, Cyclops dies, I could choose Wolverine or Psylocke or any playable character to try and complete the mission in the other's place.

You know. The graphics aren't all that bad. Even now, it still looks good.

I Played X Men Mutant Apocalypse For the SNES I would always go to Blockbuster To Rent it and it was Awesome, I Wish I saved my Money and Bought it back in the day.

I've always wondered why the Brood were randomly thrown into this game....didn't seem consistent with the overall story but great game nonetheless.

If this game were remade a-la X-Men 97, it would be more than awesome.

i disagree. where is wolverines regen ability? psylocke only has a super punch? this was only ok, i was sure disappointed back in the day. granted, they never really made a great x-men game, that truly encompassed the concepts.
