Margao's ️ Spicy Ice Cream ️challenge at Thanco's Natural, Fatorda

Thanco’s Natural ice cream has dozens of ice cream flavours here: fruit, vegetable, nut and mithai-based. But the one that literally blew our minds is this green chilli ice cream! I challenged all my friends to taste it. Not all could eat it. Thanco’s green chilli ice cream is not for kids.

Thanco’s Natural is located right opposite Fatorda stadium, near Borkar’s supermarket, in Margao, South Goa.

The spicy ice cream story at Thanco’s does not end with the green chilli flavour. Quite by chance, Maria, Roma and I discovered another deliciously spicy flavour: Thanco’s Natural spicy guava ice cream with red chilli powder.

It’s delicious, like the real guava, with red chilli powder and salt. This is very different from having that green (chilli ice cream).

The spicy green chilli ice cream here is definitely for adults only. But the guava with chilli has only the flavour of chilli and not the heat. If your kid enjoys the guava chilli from the gados, they will enjoy this flavour. Else, they can always have guava without the chilli powder.

Besides these spicy flavours, of course, Thanco’s Natural has plenty of others, like choco almond, alphonso mango, sitaphal, black currant, fresh strawberry. Among the fruit flavours, we like the tender coconut, papaya pineapple, jackfruit, watermelon and, of course, guava. The reason I visited Thanco’s in the first place is because it has sugar free and low sugar options for diabetics like me. It is only later that we discovered the green chilli and guava chilli flavours.

Thanco’s Natural fruit flavours are seasonal. The last two times I visited, in late July, muskmelon was in season and I could enjoy a low sugar muskmelon cone. Double scoop, of course.
