The kingdom was threatened with invasion, and a challenge was laid down by the guy with the disformed hand. Who ever killed the boss - will become the new King. However the Queen Mother (current ruler) declared that Bahubali (the main good guy who had the lion fist) is to be the new King because when civilians were used as human shields, he did all he could to save their lives; instead of his brother who sacrificed them for sake of trying to get to the bad guy first.

With subtitles the movie is incredible, and its 2 movies. Bahubali is the highest and second highest (at the time) grossing films in Bollywood culture, and is based on real life legends. Watching the full 2 movies is a must.
